Cause-Effect Essay
1. Summary
Before we start to write a cause-effect essay. We have to know the definition and
steps to write it. The cause is a person or a thing that sparks some sort of actions. On
the other hand, the effect is a reaction that comes from the sparks of actions. So, the
cause-effect essay is an essay that asks a writer to explain what reactions come from
specific actions. Normally, we put several scenario or actions. In cause-effect essay
usually use logical and analysis. All of that must be crafted and explained. The topics
discussed in the cause-effect essay usually are the problems that are often faced by the
community, such as pollution on the environment, the internet on child development,
etc.
The cause-effect essay is commonly formulated in the five paragraphs style. Just
like all essays have an introduction, body, and also conclusion. Starts from the
introduction, the purpose of the introduction is to inform the readers about what the
essay talk about by giving necessary background and provide the thesis statement.
Hook is very needed in introductory because it can grab the reader’s attention.
Background and make it more linear is absolutely important to make the readers more
attract to your essay. Thesis statement is also important to highlight the entire
arguments in your essay.
There are a lot of options to write the body paragraphs. The option one is cause-
effect-effect. The option two is cause-cause-effect. And the last option is cause/effect-
cause/effect-cause-effect. In cause-effect essay we also have to put evident to support
our arguments. In concluding paragraph, also have three parts of paragraph just like
the introductory paragraph. The purpose of concluding paragraph is emphasizing the
strength of your arguments with restate the thesis statement.

Nowadays, technology not only become an angel but also the demon. In the angel
side, technology can help people to do their works easier. On the other hand,
technology also brings a lot of bad impact on people just like a demon that influences
to do something bad. Meaning that technology has a very strong influence on the lives
of people, especially for the growth and development of children. In this case,
children are objects that are very easily influenced by technology. Therefore, a causal
analysis of technology for children is very important. There are three aspects of
technology that can influence children.
