The entrepreneurship landscape of India has definitely procured many milestones in the last
twenty years, but still they have to go many miles and face many challenges along the way.
The government policies have initiated and tried to help the young entrepreneurs of the nation
to start their engines and fly high with their ventures.
But still they face some initial stage problems which evolve around psychological and social
issues:
● The initial challenge these young entrepreneurs face is “Self-doubt”,which sneaks in
when the thought of slow progress or failure distracts them.
● There are 8.05 million woman entrepreneurs i.e., around 14% of the total
entrepreneurship in India according to Sixth Economic Census. This low percentage
of women entrepreneurs in the nation is a major probelm which is also a result of
psychological and social taboos revolving around them.
● India is a land of various cultures, regions and religions, therefore, the various
religious and regional sentiments including social relations is also a major point of
concern.

So, now we propose some ideas to improve the entrepreneurship landscape of India:
● Considering the Self-doubt issue:
The first point they need to understand is that they are not the first ones to struggle so
they just need to look at their lists and grasp the fact that the tasks they do today
contribute to their lifetime goals. They can also attend counselling sessions to discuss
their this issue and thus gaining confidence. This is feasible and at no cost.
● Now moving on to women entrepreneurship problem, they should seek unbiased
professional help (including proper sessions) whenever they have a moment of self-
doubt and should get rid of the taboo surrounding their mental health. Women
empowerment groups in villages, or set up such groups.
● Considering our third problem these entrepreneurs should specify whether they'll have
a region based start-up or nationwide. So here they have to choose what to sell or
whether to have a product based or service based business without putting people's
religious and regional sentiments on stake.
● As of marketing strategy first of all study your competition and target the ideal
customer. Now put forth a baseline for your project, plan a budget and efficiently use
it for your product’s campaign and to produce profits.
The above discussed solutions are easily available to individuals thus making them feasible
and economically viable. Further details are well described in our full paper.
Also, the outcome of our plan regarding embracing entrepreneurship in our country includes
softening the stigma around mental health and abolish the taboo which the women
entrepreneurs deal with and strive for creating a supportive, progressive and innovative
scenario for the budding entrepreneurs of our nation.
