Dear Brownsville ISD Community,
ASSIGNMENTS
Brownsville Independent School District is committed to providing instructional support to our
students during the COVID-19 crisis. BISD will provide instructional support through different
means. We will provide a link on our district BISD website COVID19-Parent Resources. The
instructional link will include daily assignments for all students per grade level and per content area
Each content area assignment should take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete.
CALENDAR
The link will also include a calendar in which assignments will be identified to include page
numbers and any assigned readings. Students with intemet access will be able to complete their
assignments via grade level resources. If your child does not have access to internet, you will be
able to communicate with your child’s campus leaders to pick up a packet that includes all required
assignments.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES
BISD will also be able to provide an electronic device if you choose to have your child work on the
online resources. If you would like to check out an electronic device, please complete student/parent
equipment use agreement (see pages 2 and 3) and submit it to the campus at time of electronic
device pick-up.
CAMPUS DISTRIBUTION HOURS
Campuses will be open beginning March 23rd to distribute instructional packets or electronic
devices from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. We will be happy to respond to any questions anyone may
have. Principals will be sending out via School Messenger the schedule for pickup of both electronic
devices and packets.
BISD campuses will follow the Center for Disease Control recommendation to ensure the safety
and security of all our students and staff.
