General questions:

1. What comes to your mind when the word vampire arises? What is a vampire in a human view and what is it from a
vampire's own view? How different are standard folklore and World of Darkness vampires?

As a vampire player all these years on the server from my perspective a vampire/lechee/undead is a huge term with a lot of
Posts: 619
characteristics and abilities stated in the rest of the application. In general, a vampire is a supernatural immortal individual
Aereo, Aqua, Terra, Inte. created millenniums ago, it’s a night creature which hunts blood for its own existence some of them have caused mischief
or deaths in the neighborhoods they inhabited when they were alive. This powerful race is feared or even loved in (some
cases) around the world, within my knowledge (discarding what I learned from the book) a vampire is described as a pale
skin being, with sharp fangs to bite his victims and even to defend himself. Besides being a night monster drowned by the
desire to drink human or animal blood, vampires also behave civilized (some) within the current society. This also depends
on where a vampire was developed and how it behaves in front of mortals. Vampires for human view are myths, fantasy
creatures taken from old books about monsters and mysteries. A small or even minuscule world population knows about
these beings and believes in their existence (these groups are described in the lore as numina in hunters hunted or a hunter
race in hunter: the reckoning). However, human society has allowed these beings to exist because they are literally their
food and still unknown for all of them, so that’s the reason vampires cannot be discovered and must have good relations
with their victims indirectly. For this reason, some hunters and even supernaturals are trying to shut them off but since they
are plagued in the earth, it’s impossible. For vampire’s own view they are an immense secret society under the human eye
but not in the supernatural perception. Vampires are considered the most powerful and controlling race in the world
because according to the book there are politicians, generals and even social leaders who are undead. They call themselves
"kindred" a vampiric society in short terms, for them, the "embrace" is a miracle that has given them life and for this
reason, they feel proud to be what they are. Each perspective is different depending on which clan they are in (this is
specified later on).

In WoD and specifically in VtM vampires are organized creatures living on the earth, their beginnings start off in the first
vampire ever existed called Caine. This man was who started the curse of vampirism around the world, this in the book it's
stated as Cain the children of Adam and Eve killed his own brother and later on gets in the love of Lilith who prepared the
“awakening”, eventually, tree angels were sent by God to punish him. Each angel offers Cain an opportunity to regret the
murder of Abel. However, Cain denies each of them so a curse is incorporated on to him. He and his children are cursed
with a weakness to fire, vulnerability to sunlight and the hunger for blood. Caine 1st generation obtained the start
disciplines (known as common disciplines in VtM) since awakened, these disciplines were inherited by their childes and so on
until today's kindred. The only way to kill a vampire is to dealing the final death (can be with agg or with fire), if not they
enter torpor for a some sort of time limited to their humanity or if incapacitated until a blood point is spent. Also, a stake
it's to paralyze. Within folkloric stories, vampires are powerful and important people wearing suits and elegant clothes of
antiquity for their age almost ancestral, as well as described as demons or evil beings to drain people’s life source. The
term is used in several movies and books (ex: Bram Stoker in Dracula), some cultures have different terms from vampires
such as the chupacabra still persists in belief. I’m not a folklore master but as far as I know, the vampire term has been
used for centuries it became so pervasive that in some areas it caused mass hysteria and even public executions of people

believed to be vampires.

2. What kind of consequences could possibly arise were a vampire be outed to the general public? What sort of action
would be taken by various governments and the people? For this reason, do you think vampires should take the chance
of coming out clean or should they rather stay hidden?

Mainly within the norms established by the kindred, he or she would be breaking the masquerade, one of the traditions
imposed by the Camarilla (explained further below). The consequences are situational and depend on how the event
happened. If it was in a moderate public (3 or 5 people) it is possible that the consequences are not so radical as long as the
event is solved, either by erasing the memory or persuading that what happened was something not out of the ordinary. If it
was in an uncontrolled public (10 or 30 people) the possible consequences change and become rigid as it is extremely
difficult to change the mind of a multitude of people. As I mentioned, the consequences are very situational and depend on
the decisions of the Elders or the Camarilla in general. The most common consequences are the execution known as final
death, economic penalty or simply sending the guilty to torpor for centuries to learn the lesson. The second question is very
relative since it is difficult to know how an X government or society will act. But from my point of view, common sense and
the knowledge that I have, the most probable thing is that the discovery happens or that it does not happen, it depends on
how the information is expanded. But as the question has to be answered then I will put the hypothetical case that the
truth was suddenly known. The government would put the red alert throughout the country, followed by other governments
and regions. It is an event similar to Gehenna, it starts a war and social isolation to know who is a vampire and who would
not, everything would lead to total chaos where the authorities would take control of all cities and governments would
begin an attack for the defense to the first signs of these beings. It is very difficult to explain this event but the most
obvious would be an isolation and chaos by the discovery of the beings that were feeding on humanity for centuries.

I’ll put an example before answering the last question. In nature, the animals needs from other to live, so if hypothetically
a Leon exterminates the deer and it’s the only source of food, the race will lead to his own extinction, that’s how nature
keeps itself in balance.
Then, this works in the kindred and human society as well. Vampires look the mortals as food, so they must take care of
them from the shadows, that’s why they must stay hidden. Vampires won’t be tolerated by anyone if exposed, one of the
only sources of food and the most important cannot be imposed by force, everything flows as it should be since the vampiric
society was created and maintained for centuries handing the rules and traditions. For this reason, it sounds crazy to say
that vampires can reveal themselves and make themselves known in the normal world because it would lead to the chaos
mentioned above.

3. What are The Traditions? Who enforces them and how do the vampires view it?

This is very textual since it is a quote from the book but I’ll explain them from my own words. They are the most important
laws to survive, it was mentioned and imposed during millennia to keep the race out of its extinction and total chaos. The
laws not only involve not discovering the public but also the behavior between the vampires themselves and the
cooperation for the coexistence and survival of kindred, they are enforced by the Camarilla and some independent clans
(some clans enforce the norms as another don’t such as Lasombra), the six traditions are listed as below:

   1. Masquerade; Basically, a vampire cannot reveal herself to a mortal or give

chances to be discovered. There’re special cases (mentioned in Hunters hunted as a merit) where a
mortal is not forced to forget about vampires under the terms to become undead soon.
   2. Domain; If an elderly owns a domain it must be respected, no one can challenge
the power over the territory or cause problems against the kindred roaming on it.
   3. Progeny; This tradition mentions about the embrace, it must acquire elder
permission to turn a mortal into an undead. If broken both will be executed in extreme cases.
   4. Accounting; A vampire must take care of her childe until the progeny is released,
their faults are her faults and she may command them overall.
   5. Hospitality; One territory respects another’s. If someone encounters a new
territory must present herself to the authority, if not it’s elder decision to exile or take tough decisions.
   6. Destruction; A vampire isn’t allowed to kill another vampire by any case, the
only with the right to get final death from an undead within her territory is an elder and they may call
   the blood hunt.

It is important to comply with these norms and to endeavor them, whether Elder or not, it is the work of all Kindred to
oversee the immortal life. There are movements that have adapted these norms in their way like the anarchic groups but
even so, the traditions are and will be paramount for all the vampiric society. They are made so that the elders have control
over everything (they are the most mature vampires and with more wisdom with a long time of being undead). The
Camarilla who enforces the rules has survived for centuries thanks to it. They are the main motivators so that everyone who
is lost and does not have a path is welcome to the Camarilla to receive guidance and development within Kindred. These
traditions were even the green light for events like the Anarch Revolt to take place (This is described soon below).

4. What is a Clan?

A Clan is a specific group of vampires with the same characteristics in general. Most of them were created by the

antediluvians known as 3rd generation or in the case of Tremere they started as society of magicians (I explain this below),
they organized themselves and started to spread the embrace around the world. There are 13 clans in total, listed as the
book are:

-The Assamites: They are silent and professional masters of assassination. Their
   roots are from mid-east
   countries.
   - The Brujah: They were kings in the past but now they are rebels and some
   inclination toward frenzy.
   - The Followers of Set: They follow a chthonic God and maintains secrets and
powerful artifacts, most of them come as well from mid-east countries.
   - The Gangrel: Vampires inclined to the beast inside them, got the ability to
   shapeshift and control animals.
  - The Giovanni: They control the death and its conjuring. They are great
  commanding business and finances.
   - The Lasombra: Shadowy vampires from Sabbat, they control the shadows and
even the abyss energy itself. Most of them are manipulative and controlative.
   - The Malkavians: Vampires infected by madness, each member suffers some kind of mental
   derangement.
   - The Nosferatu: they are extremely deformed and horrible to the human eye,
they conserve deep secrets within their minds, they keep out of sight for their own good.
    - The Ravnos: Trickery, they are masters of cheating and illusions. They are
   known to be criminals.
   - The Toreador: The clan closer to human society, they live mortal world as if
they were one, they are the most emotional vampires and use their powers to gain status and important
contacts. Are innate artists and passionated to the art, not only paintings but also music or any kind of
   performance.
  - The Tremere: Masters of blood sorcery, this came from the supernatural
power of their sorcerous past. They keep the secrets of power just for them, they are vampires very
jealous of knowledge. For this reason, the thaumaturgy is passed from generation to generation only to
members of the Tremere Clan. It started as a House Tremere and these important facts.

Spoiler for VtM Lore of the Clan: Show

   - The Tzimisce; Ancient corrupted lords who can manipulate flesh and bone as
wish. Feared by some and claimed by Sabbat.
   - The Ventrue; The hierarchy, the most important clan to Camarilla, they are the
rich members of  Kindred, most of them are princes and most hold a position of the great value within the
   hierarchical organization
   - The Caitiff; Clanless vampires, they don’t share any characteristic to the rest of
   the clans.

Each clan has sub-factions or antitribu.

I'll write about the Tremere clan since it's what I'm applying for.

The Tremere clan is one of the most demanding and strict clans in the whole structure of vampirism. Not only because his
past were people of great power (and held great responsibility and even in stories of the Middle Ages Tremere existed with
an extraordinary vitae but no skills to use it) but also they have in their command a series of rituals and hidden powers that
cannot fall into the wrong hands. However, as the symbol of the clan, a pyramid, so is the hierarchic organization of this
clan to maintain a control overall. Before talking about ranks, we should know the origins of the clan, which was very
different from the creation of other clans such as Ventrue or Brujah. The clan became Kindred  not by chance but by their
own effort, it started as a society of mages during the Renaissance and even before (as we know during the dark ages the
magic was strongly punished by the mortal society). The followers of Tremere and the leader himself needed a way to
survive during the next centuries. He chose immortality over witchcraft and according to him it was overflowing little by
little since this could not keep them all their life, so vampirism was an alternative but very viable solution which would lead
to what we know as the Clan. This study lasted a long time with the help of clans Tzismice and Gangrel as it was advancing
and achieved regardless these two had envy of the great power of the Tremere. Finally, a character named Goratrix one of
the assistants of Tremere managed to create a potion that replicated the process of the undead called Curse of Caine. The
process was a success after that night full of pain and omen.

Tremere and the other leaders made the decision to take this change which went on later to the members of the order of
sorcerers. Later, this change was reported to the vampiric society who began to prejudice them and even gag the weakest
of the transformation. According to Kindred they never possessed the true Gifts of Caine. The founders began to do research
on the blood and the curse in order to apply the ancient magical theories with vitae, from that the Thaumaturgy was born
essentially. This discipline helped most of the members to defend against other disciplines which were signs of safeguarding
that great revealed power. Throughout the time the clan managed to create the Gargoyles who served as servants and
protectors against the Tzismice and also the creation of ghouls and manipulations of the human tribunes who generated
tools to fight against the assaults of Kindred and magicians. Finally, the clan spread throughout Europe and expanding the
study of occultism and blood sorcery. Now the issue was to be considered as an official clan, the problem was that it did not
have roots like the other clans it was simply a self-death. The antediluvians were gone so they decided to go in search of

answers and recognition. In short, the clan found and exterminated a Diablerist Bloodline, then went in search of a
Methuselah who absorbed the knowledge and power to gain respect and recognition from the other clans. They not only
professionalized thaumaturgy and deepened in rituals but also they separated from their relationship with mortals as it used
to be in antiquity, and in its wake, the clan was unwinding within the vampiric society until the strong clan is known today
affiliated to the Camarilla.

The structure of the Tremere is known a Pyramid, the Tremere clan as I mentioned is one of the strictest clans in its
structure so its pyramidal shape allows a more precise control of who is ruling over who. This organization is composed of a
range of power, ranging from the base of the pyramid to the tip. Each place is earned by reward, effort, and confidence,
the ranks are as follow:
- Appretince
- Regent
- Lord
- Ponfintex

The rest of the structure are secret societies, houses, and sub-factions. Something important is the embrace, how the clan
embraces their new apprentices? First of all, the people selected by the clan must meet certain requirements to be worthy
of that power. As geniuses, psychics, leaders, among others. Basically clan priorities over all things. There was a ritual made
in the old temples called Transubstantiation of the Seven where the new embrace drinks the potent blood of the elder this
ritual causes the blood to turn into the blood of the seven, this was used to avoid traitors so they're completely bounded to
the council and reknown as offical member of the clan. The decisions are not necessarily meticulous, sometimes a Tremere
can be Sire for passion, for rebellion or need to generate a new Childe. There are possibilities where the apprentice
manages to enter the pyramid where it is useful and contributes to the development of the hierarchy or simply it was an
accidental embrace and the new blood has to live with prejudices and even being executed (it is known that the Tremere
antitribu were totally settled down). The disciplines owned by the clan are: Auspex, Dominate and Thaumaturgy.

5. What is a Bloodline?

Basically, a bloodline is a kind of rare lineage of a small group of vampires who share the same characteristics from one
generation to another. They cannot be called a Clan since they don’t cover enough requirements nor were they mainly
created by antediluvians, some bloodlines are younger than another (As an example, the samedi bloodline has been existing
for around two centuries because no Samedi older than 250 years is known to exist). Most of the bloodlines described in the
book are extinct but we must know about them. The creation of a bloodline is a supernatural procedure very complicated or
even accidentally, the most known bloodlines are listed as:

   - Baali; Nickname: Demons; Clan Disciplines: Daimoinon, Obfuscate, Presence

   - Blood Brothers; Nickname: Frankensteins, Clan Disciplines: Fortitude, Potence,
   Sanguinus.
   - Daughters of Cacophony; Nickname: Sirens; Clan Disciplines: Fortitude,
   Melpominee, Presence.
   - Gargoyles; Nickname: Traditionally Slaves, rockheads; Clan Disciplines: Flight,
   Fortitude, Potence, Visceratika.
   - Harbingers of Skulls; Nickname: Lazarenes; Clan Disciplines: Auspex, Fortitude,
   Necromancy (Sabbat)
   - Kiasyd; Nickname: Weirdlings; Clan Disciplines: Dominate, Mytherceria,
   Obtenebration. (Sabbat)
   - Nagaraja; Nickname: Flesh-Eaters; Clan Disciplines: Auspex, Dominate,
   Necromancy.
   - Salubri; Nickname: Cyclops, soul-suckers, healers. Clan Disciplines: Auspex,
Fortitude, Obeah. (Their childe diablerizes the sire)
   - Samedi; Nickname: Stiffs; Clan Disciplines: Fortitude, Obfuscate, Thanatosis.
   - True Brujah; Nickname: Sages; Clan Disciplines: Potence, Presence, Temporis.
   - Ahrimanes; Nickname: Cats; Clan Disciplines: Animalism, Presence, Spiritus.
   - Children of Osiris; Nickname: N/A (Extinct); Clan Discipline: Varies, Bardo.

The bloodlines that didn’t survive beyond (or much beyond) the Dark Ages:

   - Anda; Nickname: Tartars; Clan Disciplines: Animalism, Fortitude, Protean.

   - Cappadocians; Nickname: Graverobbers; Clan Disciplines: Auspex, Fortitude,
   Necromancy
   - Lamia; Nickname: Gorgons; Clan Disciplines: Fortitude, Necromancy, Potence.
(Their bite infected a disease like black plague for some days)
   - Lhiannan; Nickname: Druids; Clan Disciplines: Animalism, Ogham, Presence
   - Noaid; Nickname: Wanderers; Clan Disciplines: Animalism, Auspex, Protean.

6. What sort of process is an embrace? What's diablerie? Why are both of these practices so commonly heard about?
What's the view on these two?

http://vwh-rp.com/index.php?topic=22927.0 4/10
28/2/2018 Archbald Bartholomew ;; Eighth ;; Tremere
In short terms, the embrace is a process to turn a mortal into a vampire. How do they do it? It depends on the clan or
bloodline traditions (some aggressive than others) and the conditions it charges and consequences (I won’t describe each
type of clan embrace because I’d take a long answer). The biological procedure is described as draining the whole life
source from the victim until it’s exsanguinated, then the vampire introduces a quantity of its own blood into the system
(slight drops of vampiric blood can turn a mortal into an undead). Even, Cainites can turn deceased people into vampires as
long as the body remains warm so their brain still active. The diablerie is also known as Amaranth is a similar process but in
the case, a vampire drains the whole soul from the victim’s heart to lower his generation and gain its potency. This act is
normal in some bloodlines like Salubri when the childe has the request to diablerie his own sire as an act of transition and
secrecy. Those practices are commonly heard is due to its mention in the fundamental traditions of the Camarilla for the
kindred. Also, it’s a common term used by the whole kindred referring to creating childes or cases of diablerie. The view of
both are depending on the clan or sect perception, as in the example: The camarilla punishes it strongly even with the final
death; however if there is a blood hunt, the prince or the sheriff has the power to give the opportunity to a selected one to
do the act. On the other hand, in Sects such as the Sabbat, the diablerie is an act of courage and progress (even honored).
Diablerie is so controversial and can cause conspiracy, some elders fear it but some neonates discover their elders
diablerized their sires and so on to gain such status.

7. What are the vampire generations? How far do they stray from the original? What are these generations? Does
generation measurement exist within the society?

Everyone writes the same so I made a draw to explain it easily but there’re concepts in the genealogical tree that are
difficult to explain and do not answer the question.

Notes:

   - Caine childes are unknown, in some books are named as Enoch, Irad, Zilliath as
Book of Nod recounts but they are not mentioned in VtM 20th anniversary.
   - Some Third Generation may have reached Golconda (Balance between the beast
and human) or seek to help others of their kind attain this state. They are founders of the thirteen clans,
and they will return in in the gehenna to devour all those thin bloods.
   - Golconda is not compatible in our server.
   - Some of 4th and 5th may seek refuge among the Inconnu or Tal’Mahe’Ra to avoid
   the Jyhad and diablerie.
   - Those who remain in positions of 6th gen tend to be important figures; leaders of

http://vwh-rp.com/index.php?topic=22927.0 5/10
28/2/2018 Archbald Bartholomew ;; Eighth ;; Tremere
Clans or bloodlines, Princes, Primogen, Bishops, Archbishops and Anarch Barons.
   - Ancillae most were created in the modern era so they are somehow “aliens” it’s
the channel between neonates and elders.
   - The 13th or even 15th generation exist, they are called thin blood.

Answering the last question, some generations have more contact with society than others (this also depends on the clan).
The Elders are very reserved vampires with little interaction in modern society, due to their antiquity and their great
wisdom so they have known how to conject this stereotype for centuries, the older a vampire is colder and more mature is
in the way of acting and giving example to other is. On the contrary, neonates (or recently embraced) tend to be more
restless with the desire to find answers and find themselves as vampires, this generation usually has a great impact on
society, it interacts a lot with mortals due to their link with them to be recent embraces.

8. What are the two notable Anarch Revolts? What sort of effect did they have upon the vampires?

First of all, what is the anarch movement? It’s a kind of faction based on controlled freedom unlike Sabbat (Sect who act
against the Camarilla with corruption and fire), the Anarchs often recognize that leadership in a domain is necessary. Thus,
the Baron is a Prince in all but name and reputation. He’s seen as the impractical nature of revolutionary ideology and a
great leader. There’s no specific date for the first Anarch Revolt, the movement started during the inquisition, during these
ages Elders started to sacrify the young vampires as a kind of survival, some individual inside the ventrue council known as
Patricia told the elders they should stand up and fight against mortal but was completely denied, therefore she formed a
resistance and recruited rebellious neonates to do her attempt to win the war which was about to happen. Soon as later the
anarchs attacked the Camarilla base and won it which gave a signal to rest independent movements around Europe, they
started to think that Elders had dominated Cainite society, embrace and laws were just tools of older vampires to maintain
control and use the youth vampires as they desired. Soon, the anarchy movement started a rebellion against the laws made
by Caine. This idea didn’t last long since the faction was quite unorganized and didn’t have a control entity and they were
all of their free wills. This caused the other fights to be very impractical, which implied that it was impossible for fledglings
to be able to fight against Elders with much more power and control. The first anarch revolt ended in 1493, most of the
rebels went to camarilla or in some cases Lasombra and Tzismice towards Sabbat. The Camarilla would not have survived in
the nights following the Anarch Revolt without substantial participation from the Toreador, and they remain among its most
ardent supporters in France and around the world.

The second anarch revolt started in 1944, Camarilla and Sabbat were already formed before so one of the few things that
Anarchs seemed to agree on is that at some point there needs to be someone at the top, and that vampire is commonly
called the Baron. Before the second revolt, a lot of small groups of rebels alive decided to make their own way to America,
specifically to California where Camarilla didn’t put a lot of attention on them. Suddenly, in 1944 the sect realized the
great population of Anarchy in the territory and placed a blood hunt over them, unfortunately, the prince was killed and the
movement won the war in the first time and dominated the state, they tried to liberate San Francisco and any other
territory but failed. Later on the Anarch Revolt created the Anarch Free State in California, the document was called “The
perfect State” and was rather revolutionary, it contains laws as the traditions but instead it mentions any anarchy to
protect one another, regardless of lineage, it promises no oppression and its purpose was to give kindred freedom and free
will. This revolt left momentums that most Kindred simply aren’t used to, equity and peace of all vampires and a mute
progress for a belief.

Archbald Bartholomew
1449 (Windsor, UK) - 1475 (Maidenhead, Berkshire)

Archibald Bartholomew was born in 1449 in Windsor, his father William was second hand to General Thoma Kyell. A year
later his father went to the War of Formigny in 1450. His childhood in the castle was very common however he was always a
very careful and astute person. His adolescence was based on being in the library doing research on articles of scientific
advance and political history. Everyone knew him in the library so he knew all the places, but one day he found some books
hidden in a secret passageway which he read a little and hid. Later on, he turned 20 years and were removed from the
castle by orders of Henry, despite that fact Archibald managed to enter the castle with the help of librarians to continue

their study. In the library, he met a guy named Ethel who had never seen him before but he already knew him. The two
began to share research and Bartholomew became Ethil's apprentice. In 1474 Ethil asked him about the books with what the
apprentice replied that he was quite fascinated by these stories although it was very far-fetched at that time. The issue was
not touched until the other year where the family was reintegrated into the castle for an investigation into the failure of
the Battle of Formigny, Ethel had already seen quite a bit of progress in it, so shortly after an arduous study and work the
decision of the his apprentice's destiny was decided, Archibald's Embrace was a fact despite the doubts he had that were
cleared up by his mentor (concepts of vampirism and the Tremere clan). Both left the castle and moved to an ancient
temple to avoid problems with the Anarch Revolt and to made the ritual called the Transubstantiation of Seven to drink the
blood of the Inner Council, Batholomew was introduced to the oldest of the clan who observed the new Childe uneasily and
explained to him plainly the Clan's laws and their rough punishment. Also, a long story of the clan took place, they
explained the magician side of the Clan and their origins, it seems that the Tremere Clan was the most organized within
kindred due to their difficult times before, it was as rigidly policed as many believe they explained their ranks within the
clan, the Acolyte, Apprentice, Magister, etc. Archibald was a shrewd person so he did not take time to abide by the rules
and conform to his new immortal life.

He signed the initiation with The Code and Oath of the Tremere and was introduced to the Thaumaturgy where he echoed
his Primary Path of the Blood and thus was advancing by his audacious learning ability. Years later sporadically Ethel was
surprised with the advance of Bartholomew where the student equaled the teacher, the personality evolved into a
commander, leader and reliable person to keep secrets than cost his life. In 1493 the Anarch Revolt ended and Archibald
and his mentor were officially invited to the opening of the Camarilla.  Later on, Archibald had a Childe who with years of
effort and learning was executed by insurgents of the anarchic revolution, they even say that he was diablerized.  He went
torpor for a long time until years later he was sent to California where he was asked to teach Neonates Tremere the art of
the Thaumaturgy which he did not refuse. Soon after he conceived a new Childe which was once again killed by the second
Anarch Revolt. From then on Archibald acquired even more hatred for the anarchists. Years later, he fled from Los Angeles
and took refuge in Palomino Creek where he could surely live a more peaceful life and conform to the advancement of the
modern world, which for him was a radical change.

Long Story (It specifies a little bit more cuz I cannot include everything in 3000 words)

Spoiler for Long Story Archibald Bartholomew: Show

Out of Character:

1.What kind of powers are you allowed to use in public? What stops you from using them?

We follow the traditions, the first law is about staying hidden so all those disciplines which would spot the true nature are
completely banned, such as Obtenebration or Celerity and visual disciplines out of normal. The powers allowed in public in
common sense are those which cannot be detected or just makes it appear as a coincidence, in resume non-physical
disciplines with no visual interaction aka Auspex, Presence, Dominate, Fortitude, etc. Powers as Potence are permitted
since they cause a non-detectable effect as long as it’s a good use, breaking some cuffs with potence is a masquerade
breach so we can use disciplines limited to the normal mortal life events. Using banned disciplines in public can cause a
blood hunt on the comitent or a hard punishment from the local council and a cleanup at the scene. Some thaumaturgical
paths are hidden from sight when there are others which are not, as a blood sorcerer I must pay attention how I do perform
my magic and when not. Powers like Movement of the mind are extremely visual and can cause a masquerade break,
conversely, powers like Path of the Blood are mystical and affect someone's vitae which makes it pass unseen in public.

2.Someone has discovered you. He's planning on making a statement within a week, you have all the time to prepare.
What do you do? Consider consequences of every sort of action. Putting down more than one option increases your
chances of getting accepted.

First of all, an elder Tremere wouldn’t be stupid enough to get discovered but let’s say I accidentally frenzied thanks to a
malkavian and bit someone randomly so someone passing by watched it. In the first instance after returning to my own
senses I’d review the scene through Auspex, touching my clothes and trying to recognize the individual. Second, I’d contact
a Toreador or any mental vampire to summon the individual and then I’d erase his mind with Dominate rank 3. If the
individual resists I’d somehow figure out his location and scry him through clairvoyance and wait patiently as I scan his mind
to know when he’d speak about it. Before the event I’d (with the help of another vampire) possess his body and speak
something false instead of the speech and clean his memory afterward. Or I can use mesmerize to persuade what he saw
wasn’t me or something creative. Maybe as an Elder, I’d contact some vampires to do the job for me as money for return or
blood packs. Well, it’s not mentioned but the last option is killing but Tremere clan isn’t known to be famous murderers so
I’d lead it to the last and the most, not the probable solution. Sorcery can take place here if I've got the correct path as
path of corruption, I'd be able to manipulate the individual prediction and change it to something different, so instead of
snitching what he saw he'd sing a song or w/e different from speaking about it.

3.An officer walks up to you and tells you to stay put, you are a wanted individual. In the struggle you both shed a

good amount of blood, what could possibly happen in this scenario and how further can you avoid these dangerous
encounters?

First of all I’d not be a wanted individual so easily but in the hypothetical case I am I’d do my best to reach eye contact
with the officer and persuade or even command him to check once again in the MCD or if it’s possible to delete me (since
dominate cannot interrupt nature actions such as arresting), in the lapse I’d wait if it takes effect, if not I’d take my
charges and be sent to prison as a normal person. Officers arresting vampires is so common sense it’s the mortal world and
sometimes vampires make mistakes, but if kindred has members inside the SD it’d be possible to manipulate the system and
erase the bad record. To avoid this kind of situation is to act non-reckless, follow the rules made by the government, stay
out of trouble. It’s easy to maintain a normal life without causing chaos as a Tremere, in case of getting caught I’d contact a
vampire superior within the SD to take my case and help me out and maybe my partner. Also, thaumaturgy can get me out
of trouble via the path of corruption so the officer changes suddenly its purpose.

4.You mutter around town and notice a rather vicious looking hairy beast with claws stretching out of his arms. What
could it possibly be and what could you possibly do about this?

It can be anything in WoD, a werebeast, a Gangrel, a changeling even an illusion. If I encounter such monster in the town I’d
stay in a safe zone and analyze the aura of the beast, if it’s a vampire I’d report to the Camarilla for masquerade breach
and summon vampires to contain it. If it’s a werewolf or any werebeast I’d stay out of their sight and stay out since it’s
none of my business, last I’d do is to report it to the elders and that’s all. We don’t interfere with werewolf business (not at
least Tremere and what a member of the clan would do). If this beast attack me the most obvious situation is to flee from it
and find a secured place to be out of danger, I won’t even fight since the beast seems to be more powerful even if I got
thaumaturgy (a werewolf breaking rules won’t be a motivation to me breaking the masquerade for my survival). If there's a
crinos (delirium) and some vampires are risking their lives I'd first analyze the mind of the werewolf and then interfiere
using some thaumaturgical paths to contain the beast, it's as I said the most not probable options since there're other ways
to dealt with.

5.You've been at the game for quite a while now. You are walking down a dark alley with your partner and three thugs
come out of the shadowy corner, aiming their mundane weaponry at you. Should you be scared?

Maybe not scared, but restless or worried. As an elder, I most likely have experienced these kinds of situation before so I’d
maintain the calm and do what the malfaiteur is telling me to do. If there’s a chance I’d use dominate to control his mind
and force the group to yield but in an instance, violence won’t help me. Using path of corruption once again can help me to
get out of the situation since it can change the action that's about the happen, the robber can do something else more than
aboarding me. If I finally get robbed I got the chance to get my stuff back once I scan their minds and eventually take care
of them by myself or contacting some neonates to do it for me. Even if guns dealt bashing to vampire a great amount of
them can incapacitate their bodies so we must act accordingly how a normal mortal would or use mental discipline to get
out of the situation.

6.Considering your bloodline or clan, what sort of job would you be good at? Make a priority job and a side job in case
you need one.
As a Tremere, I’d take something closer to my mastery. I’d be a librarian to get easy researches about the occult or simply
work in a bureaucracy employ to gain some money. (In the game I’d apply to get librarian custom job). Also, a possibility is
to be a businessman and purchase a business of my earnings from the other jobs.

Yes, I do, I’ve not even broken a single rule in these two years so yes I do understand.

4.Post a screenshot (embedded with  code, no links) of your admin record and activity (include each personal
account):
Spoiler for SS: Show

5.If there is anything you would improve/change regarding the vampire race, what would it be?

1) Yes, in general to whole races. Inventory isn’t taken as it must be. Ppl carrying 1 M4, 2 pistols, and 23 blood packs. I’m
sure you’d need some str to carry them so you should use some of your strength to carry items, like fortitude you roll str
but u are using 1 of 4 to carry your stuff so you roll 3 str.  As well you’ll need at least 2 str to carry your whole inventory
items.

2) There must be a question related about the clan so admin can know how much someone knows about the clan he's
applying for.

You barely even meet the requirements for a 9th Generation Tremere.
