functions. This means mental health is directly dependent on the head and heart because
intellectual development depends on the head (brain) and emotional development
depends on the heart.
B) What factors can influence the condition of ourselves ?
 we can see our reaction to stress as a factor that energizes and motivates. Our emotions
and moods will also affect our efficacy; positive moods will improve our self-efficacy,
while negative or pessimistic moods will reduce them .lasl, mark and Swan (2003) do
research on emotional intelligence, training and their implications for stress, health and
performance and find that emotional intelligence and mental health can be improved by
training The studies discussed above reveal that mental health is a very important factor
which is likely to be influenced by a number of variables such as emotional intelligence
and also self-efficacy.
C) what is the purpose of research on mental health and emotional intelligence ?
 1. Investigate the relationship between mental health and emotional intelligence and self-
efficacy of students.
2. Find out the differences between male and female students in terms of mental health,
emotional intelligence, and self-efficacy.
3. Find the difference between students and art students in terms of mental health,
emotional intelligence, and self efficacy. , Kurukshetra was chosen through purposive
sampling technique. Out of 200 students, 100 male and 100 female students were drawn
from the streams of science and art.

D) The 2nd research question was whetherthere was significant difference in boys andgirls
students with regard to mental health, emotional intelligence and self efficacy?

scoredsignificantly higher than girls students withregard to mental health
(t=4.35<0.01),emotional intelligence (t=5.16<0.01) and selfefficacy (t=5.00<0.01) along
with theirdimensions. Boys are better at regulatingemotions
E) There are several other variables that are affected by mental health such as emotional
intelligence?

suggests bringing intelligence to emotions. Using IEI can make people motivate
themselves to stay in the face of frustration; set their moods and satisfy satisfaction; set
their moods and keep the distress from increasing their ability to think and empathize and
hope.

4) summary
Educational implicationsIt is important to mention the implicationof the present study for the
education system. We must restructure the school curriculum toreflect forms of learning, which
not only helpin development of intellects of individuals butalso improve the emotional
intelligence ofstudents, especially in case of girls. The designof intervention programs for the
studentsshould be such so as to enable them increasetheir emotional intelligence because
researchevidences suggest that “emotionalintelligence” can be more powerful
than“intelligence quotientmeans mental health directly depends on the head and heart because
intellectual development depends on the head (brain) and emotional development depends on the
heart. The way we react to physical and emotional stress also plays a role in our level of efficacy.
