Project Description/ Introduction

Rex Knowledge center is a newly built 5-storey building of Rex Bookstore. It is designed to be
transparent to people and has glassed office walls and doors where you can see what’s inside the
offices even from the corridors. On the 4 th floor where the accounting department you can
immediately see from the elevator their office filled with documents and files on top of the
cabinets and boxes.
II. Rationale
A. Current Condition
Department offices especially on accounting currently have slender spaces for employees and
documents. The office is filled with files and documents that have nowhere to store.
B. Problems Encountered
Due to excessive number of documents and files, pathway inside the office where slender that
whenever 2 persons will meet one should give way by going inside the cubicles in order for the
other one to pass along.
