Box 12, Safat Kuwait STATE OF KUWAIT MINISTRY OF ELECTRICITY & WATER EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM DETAILS OF ELECTRICAL LOAD FORM NO. MEW /A-3 INTRODUCTION: ‘This form has been prepared in order to cover all the electrica} loads tor the projects to be provided with electrical powerby the Ministry of Electricity and Water,so 2s to protect the interest of the Owner andto let the Ministry, in the light of the information recorded, to accurately calculate the anticipated load on the general electrical network, Therefore the given data should necessarily be true and accurate as well as all the required data shoutd be completed by the Designer who must have the knowledge and experience of the anticipated actual loads. 4. The data required in this form shail not be substitute to placing all the technical data regarding the Joads mentioned on the design drawings in accordance with the normal procure. In addition the form to be filled after completing the final design drawings and the data required to be completed is to be taken from these drawings. 2, The form shall be applicable to al! new buildings and constructional projects, be it new buildings annexes, re-construction or remedial works, and whether these buildings are governmental or private sector. 3. Theform shall be signed, in respect of locally designed private sector buildings, by the Electrical Desiga Engineer as well as the Architect who has designed the building, and shall be approved, before signing by the Owner, by the Engineering Office responsible for the design otherwise the form will be rejected. With regard to governmental buildings and projects, the form should be signed by the design engineers ‘every one in his field of speciciality, and shall be approved by the Head of the concerned Technical Department only. With regard to buildings and projects, the design of which is entrusted to Engineering Consultants, such form should be signed by the Designers and the Engineering office each responsible in its field of speciality, and shall be finally approved by the Head of the Governmental Technical Department resposible for the project (for Gov. jobs) and by the owner (for private jobs) befor despatching the form to the Ministry of Electricity and Water. 4, The form is to be submitted to the Ministry of Electricity and Water, ia one copy, which must be retained by it after approval, in the project file for reference when it becomes necessary, The electrical drawings shall be approved by the Ministry only after having obtained the approval on the completed information in the form. 5. Thisform must be submitted one time along with the final desiga drawing before obtaining the Building Permit for Construction. The sum of the electrical connected loads shown of the form approved by the Ministry shall not be exceeded. In case there is an urgent cause for exceeding the saict load during the execution of the project, a new form should be filled and submitted. The Ministry in this case shail have the right to approve or reject the demanded increase in load. 6. Incase there are more than one building in the project such as Neighbourhood Centres and residential complexes (containing several buildings) it is necessary to complete the data shown for each separate bbuilding and on a separate leaf by loads of these buildings shall be carried forward to the main form as, shown, In other words, the number of the separate pages which should be attached to the form is equivalent to the number of buildings contained in the project minus one. 7. With regard to buildings with annexes such asthe residential buildings, the form has been prepared ina \way to facilitate the recording ofthe data for the relevant annex on the same main page of the main building, This procedure is applicable to the small annexes fed from the same building. 8. Inthe case of governmental residential projects such as house of low income or middle income groups where the houses are typical and identical in electrical loads, itis sufficient to fill the data once and for one house only. for each type of the houses, provided that the type the Number and the total numbers of the houses shall be shown on top of the sheet. in this case the Type, the Number and the total numbers of the houses should be shown in the description column as well as the electrical load should be shown on the same age. as pet the follow example for guidance. The main last page must contain the summations of all the electrical loads required for the project and ‘care must be taken to note that the registered number (kilowatts) in the column of the total sum of loads for the projects under the Connected Load is the number on which the calculation of the fees, regarding the connection of the electrical current for the project, is based. This page has been prepared to suffice 10 separate buildings. 10 ‘The conditioned areas shall include the areas of the internal corridors, bath rooms and kitchens within the conditioned are ind shall not include the stairs and externa! balconies. 14 The future loads shown shall mean such loads required for the major projects of high electrical louds feeding on the level of medium tension, the voltage of which is 11KV and over. 42 It is to be noted that the total loads stated shall not include both cooling and heating loads, but shall include only the larger value of these loads. 13. Electrical heaters used for reheat purposes in conjunction with the A/C system in summer shall be included in A/C load and maximum permissible watt/m? stated in the form. 14 Electrical load for fire fighting equipment shall be included in the total connected load. 418 Electrical load for standby equipment shall be included in the total connected Joad, but not to be included in the peak electrical demand for A/C load wattimm?.. 16 The peak electrical demand for A/C load watt/m? mentioned in the form shall be based on the connected electrical load for the A/C equipment. lg ple ern LR edges shel eS ai EK AUIS Ge dha le ny Sl dled Gly SRS Megha SoM Yo Gaby ay 6 edd golly LoL LEN all 8 fe Goal! + CMB Mein) lan S88 ye ergh ea dal agll Jol cae te HagSI LAKAI Gy SLAM JA Fe ISB sly Cay tly i UL He, iS UE gS AMY UE 2 glacay ll 1 AS pe og pt all cape olely oll of Eg Hekeall Jol OT fos Sigel PAS ASL JAM cack (SF Slag GE eayell ales iy of ps cas Ubi ode Je dy «(aya ) ell SUG ce Col de eS fast Slee ple eal pas wks tine es lie lhe Shes YY, eve YY, TVs oy Ae Tixve Ws) deh cif cat Ce YYixte Wy xte oy she PYKEs (£6) 580 (2) cist cal ye Tha YA bee oy she Year (nye etcee te 2 ee e8 @ 2 a Sb ol as Go pA de ll Hh pS SLA IS aol fo gs CA eed leit 4 ee gl iN ye abl od Gy al ST JOY Eee Ble J COALS) Oylll oN + CY AUS Ll Sal py Ole GO ESI AL tte ally Oly LHL call bee ots USUI OLY 1 + el ot ally chs Ls Vy LAY O13 3.5) eo gl LAY as a SVG at La JL + Bai bay Si AS VY dace hl og ge Jo 5A ly JUN 2b gS eNotes Yat ae AU Sle Cpe Led perl (Ugh) theyll JAW ae et Aa gee SM Jats bbe Bly ay aS bajar BU SU YS geal tae CALA Rigel pond Line faa st yS cL ary ae gi O59 Ys dpe hl A a [ily te eyo JAM AH pat fay oly SC = Nine BASE lel oe Hise Jet 3 2 theyll UA gad bbl alah! cial Ut gS dle He EY Sy Heyl A yak bL EY Slaall, Lol G24 YC ve + AS pbb ep pad JOY gah 2h 4S fal SA hee de cape cal Ml pa / ely Aaa agllal ce) 2b 4S Jal at 14 + ApS! clad Jogll peal ral al et 3 ake Aly ola yg SH 5h cot lal pall Eth 4S DLAI IS pam Sy hye Ua pat 9 ep Rigel apd Jet gh ggltad Ky « AU ta le ly 21 aS yal ea Mad cbladh 2465 Of eg9 nll cya LD perme JS Tal Ly gS ASA edad JL le Se egy pst LF Halll ALN BIS oT gyal a LS «Hy rr opp rtall Eyl clalasall cp tally dadell DAVY Uday Be teal O95 Je AB SI UL Mie Ll OLS BUS andy ge Y cpa Mla GG lll otal alae gps ASV! te, gayest at (S dal Spell Cae Sl peel colle 2 Sila ode oye Uptanl lal Ld Ley PY peel peesuT aly tale gOULAL fepder gla cil ape Sys SLES glM IS fo Syed ely Y = Rake gl dey lye CS al yeey ere gl gale tall at Le enna gl oth! plat oll tant copa ade — ASU cpt tans (Meola Cae JS) Ph WS GAN of preva Bh 4S etal eb » de SUL CBF dS powell ge Jag Caetigl I ot Gp Mend Seg LW STOLE I Yona ll ay ally glad Lay Ul Soya 5 dached oF Uy geal Sill lo pele LF ye easy da ¥ Bo ‘ream Be Gel ds Bd Hae AS eget eply gt 4 SAAN Ga ele LF opt asa od nat I JS yal Lech ale yay peal gl Eid alegd hs (Let eg shee ) CU cay ( Reng St Gesell) Gor pth ye Dy pall Say! = Aly gS} Er Ale pee ail pI yh ll ladnd Saorly Bhd fo lly ol SI Li Ut cya ake € chyale tall aU fo Mill tay Yi coal fo MUL Gay. pAb! he yl Ertl Bak) 598 Wy Ltd ety od pratt fo itll presi lala ps ody + cya apd —o 5h Jo ope Ale BAL) oe gy bald EIS ULV ¢ pat ke Gd cell ph, fat ee hy steder hak AAs HA Cacho 5 SIU Jot Sal) gail oe San Obs + edo gf ta gllall 33 53H 43 oh GAN lpn 45 pli LL ak gh lee Noten gah sie tases nisin ile d= x Rap Weacal Alodd AP pS JLAM eole Jaol Jo pipe IFLA cbatal oe lS t © ally ol SUI Byh5y lad!
