Reflection for: Lk 10:25-37

Today’s scripture brings the light on proper Christian practice as defined by Christ. Considering
Jesus always speaks in parables to convey a message, this one points out the gap between Samaritans
and Jews. In the old period, they consider each other as rivals like how Jews practice the system of
usury. However, this parable breaks that division as Jesus told the circumstance that neither a fellow
Jew, a holy Jew or a Priest with Jewish origins would not have the initiative to help a dying man.
Following the belief of unity and culture singularity, a Samaritan helped the injured Jew despite being a
common enemy.

This is how Christians should live, treat everyone equally as if they see themselves in the figure
of others regardless of religion and customs different from ours.
