TEMPORARY SUPPORT AND STAGING / 84 82 8.3 84 85 86 87 8.9 Check stability of structure (including temporary connections) during erection, Design, supply and erect necessary false work and staging. Temporary Support and bracing shall not be connected to permanent structural members by welding unless otherwise approved by Main Contractor. Provide adequate support against overloading. Obtain Main Contractor approval first before placing any pre-assembled large items or heavy items on a structure being erected, Staging must not be removed before the work is inspected and approved. Remove temporary supports and bracing after permanent members and Connections have been completed and inspected. Provide temporary guy line to achieve proper alignment of the structural members. All temporary connections for assembling shall be made using temporary tack bolts. Temporary bolting shall be of same material as Permanent botts. ‘The quantity of temporary tack bolts for each connection shall be at least Two (2) or onesthird (1/3) of the required number of the bolts for each connection. Replacement of temporary tack bolts to permanent bolts shall be made only after corrections of deviations to the structural steel frames have been made 8.
