Raw vs.

Jpeg

The main contrast that differentiates Jpeg from raw is that Jpeg files process your
images automatically. Under Jpeg, the photographer is able to consider and alter settings
like white balance, color saturation, sharpening, tone curve, etc. Therefore, utilizing Jpeg
consumes less time and allows photographers to focus on their work instead of focusing
on fixing the camera’s settings. Jpeg also allows for more storage on memory cards. This
is because the files are so small that they do not take up as much storage as raw files.
These files will also be easier to upload online or send through email because of its small
size.
When uploading raw files, a benefit is that photos will come out with a high level
of quality. This is because the camera tries to capture every detail. Capturing every detail
then leads to the development of a better picture overall. In addition, raw files have more
color than Jpeg files because it is able to read thousands of shades of red, blue, and green.
Compared to the self-adjusted setting of Jpeg, raw files allow you to take control of your
work by giving the photographer the power to adjust brightness settings.
Both styles of uploading have their own benefits. In the end it is up to the
photographer's personal preference.
