Present Perfect: Negatives

When we want to say a negative in the


present perfect, we need to use:
haven’t (have not) or hasn’t (has not)
e.g. I haven’t been to Japan.
 My teacher hasn’t eaten sushi.
 My Grandma hasn’t visited Paris.
 I haven’t been to the Arctic.

We can also include ever in the


sentence.

 It hasn’t ever snowed in Africa.


 My Dad hasn’t ever played rugby.
 I haven’t ever swum in the Amazon

River.
