Mr. Rajagukguk : My sister, this separation is very tough. But, it has to happen,
farewell to my brother-in-law. We’ve seen you stayed at hospital for
long time, so did my brother-in-law, he didn’t recover as well. My
sister, this is what we want, hopefully he will be in the best place. I
don’t have many words to say this time. We hope that everything is
going to be good, starts from our children and grandchildren. That’s
all from all of us, sir.
Master of Ceremony : For all of our dear granddaughters, this is our deep condolence from
women’s side. So that, this honorable traditional event is made by our
daughter/son-in-law. To make you know and understand about this
traditional event. And all of us come from the furthest village. And
also, we give this black ulos as a symbol that our formerly ancestor
said this sanctified which was pinned to a woman who was left by his
deceased husband so she was given strength by God. Although this
ulos is old already, but the value and the price will never take place
until the old age later. That’s all what our formerly ancestor said.
Right, you put that ulos on our sister-in-law’s head. By now, stop
crying my sister. Because of too much crying, you’ll be fainted. Have
a seat and calm down yourself.

This is about the death of Mr. Rajagukguk’s brother-in-law. This is a Batak tradition
which a family from the woman’s side wants to give ulos tujong. Because in Batak tradition,
that ulos tujong is meant by being a widow (a woman who was left by his deceased husband)
so that ulos tujong is given to abandoned wife by his husband’s death. Before the woman’s
family gives ulos tujong, she is given consolation words to make her not dissolved in sadness.
Video 2’s Translation
This video is about a new method of multiplying from Japan. It called Japanese
Multiplication: Multiplying Using Lines. The new method from this video is to draw lines,
vertically and horizontally based on the numbers given. We will try to solve one problem:
31 × 32 =
Rules:
We will draw horizontal lines for the front numbers and vertical lines for the
next numbers
Explanation:
Because of both numbers given are tens, we will draw the two front numbers using
horizontal lines and the two next numbers using vertical lines
 For the two front numbers: 31
We will divide them into 3 and 1. Draw three horizontal lines, then give a big space
under and continue by drawing one horizontal line as well, just like what it is shown below:

 For the two next number: 32

Just like the two front numbers, we will also divide them into 3 and 2. Draw three
vertical lines, then give a big space aside and continue by drawing two lines vertically as
well.
 Final step
Divide the form into three parts diagonally. To get the answer we just need to count
the intersections. Look at the pictures below:

Voila! We get the answer!
