CHAPTER 2 : The fear had mostly sweated out of me

SURVEY: Based on the title, I predict that this chapter would reveal something and in
some way interesting. I feel like there’s thrill and there’s an element of surprise.

QUESTION:

- Who discovered something?

- What made him/her feel anxious?

- What seems to be the problem?

READ: After reading the first few paragraphs, it was implied that Aza Holmes and Daisy
who are best friends heard on the radio that Russell Picket was lost and the police has
been searching for him. It is a mystery I want to find out in the end.

RECITE: Here’s my summary: Aza and Daisy were scanning stations in search of a
song in the car when they landed upon a news story. The news said that there’s one
hundred thousand dollar reward for information leading to the whereabouts of company
CEO Russell Picket. Picket disappeared the night before a police raid on his home
related to a fraud and bribery investigation and was last seen at his riverside compound
o September eighth. Russell Picket is the father of Aza’s old time neighbor and friend,
Davis. Daisy was tracking as to where Aza and Davis have last seen each other. The
news said that there was no record of Mr. Picket’s ins and outs of the house since there
was no security camera to record it but Aza recalled that Davis and he used to have a
motion-capture camera in the woods by the river which had a night vision that would
snap a picture whenever something walked past. And there they had a lead.

REVIEW: My thoughts were correct. There was really a problem that Daisy and Aza
heard upon the radio about the loss of the father of Aza’s old time friend. It is really
mysterious in a way. The element of surprise is there but and a lead was revealed but
there was still no exact location as to where is Mr. Picket.
