HOW TO MAKE

ALL-AMERICAN STYLES
MACARONI & CHEESE

TO MAKE GOOD MAC&CHEESE
WITH AMERICAN STYLE

INGREDIENTS
 1cup macaroni
 1tablespoon butter
 1
⁄4cup onion, chopped fine
 1garlic clove, minced
 1tablespoon flour
 1 1⁄2cups milk
 1
⁄4teaspoon black pepper, freshly
ground
 ⁄2cup extra-sharp cheddar
1

cheese, shredded (I use extra sharp


real english cheddar )
 1
⁄2cup sharp cheddar cheese,
shredded (I use Bega Cheese
Cheddar)
 1
⁄2cup mild cheddar cheese,
shredded

DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. While making cheese mixture,


cook macaroni per package
instructions. Drain and set aside.
3. In a medium saucepan over
medium heat, melt butter.

4. Cook onion and garlic in butter


until translucent.

5. Add flour to saucepan and stir to


combine, leaving no dry flour bits.

6. Add milk all at once to saucepan


along with black pepper. Stir to
combine. Stir constantly until mixture
begins to thicken.
7. Stir in cheeses one at a time until
melted, and mixture is smooth.

8. Place cooked macaroni in a 1-


quart casserole dish. Stir in cheese
mixture until combined.

9. Bake for 30 minutes or until top is


lightly browned.

10. Cool for 10 minutes and serve.
