TYPES OF ANGLES

1. STRAIGHT ANGLE
Measures exactly 180˚
Example:

2. ACUTE ANGLES
Angles that are LESS THAN 90˚
Examples:

3. RIGHT ANGLE
Measures exactly 90˚

4. OBTUSE ANGLES
Angles that are BETWEEN 90˚ AND 360˚
5. REFLEX ANGLES
Angles BETWEEN 180˚ AND 360˚
SUM OF ANGLES
1. Sum of angles on a straight line = 180˚

50˚ + 63˚ + 67˚ = 180˚

2. Sum of angles for a whole circle = 360˚

56˚ + 65˚ + 90˚ + 96˚ + 53˚ = 360˚

3. Vertically opposite angles = both are the same

Angle A = Angle B

Angle C = Angle D

4. Sum of angles in a triangle = 180˚

Angle A + Angle B + Angle C = 180˚

5. Sum of angles in a four-sided figure = 360˚

Angle A = Angle A

Angle B = Angle B
