It’s a beautiful afternoon today in Massachusetts! The sun is shining, the birds are
chirping and spring is almost here! Everything seems to be so peaceful lately after the French
and Indian War… Except for the fact that the British are acting psychotic with all of their
unordinary and high demands of us.
My husband and I agreed, now that the Stamp Act has been set in place, we are
boycotting all of the newly taxed goods. We believe that if we are not being directly represented
in Parliament by someone of our own likeness, then why should we abide by the British’s ways
of thinking! WE DO NOT WANT VIRTUAL REPRESENTATION!! No taxation without
representation!
My husband and I just want what everyone else wants, we want an actual representative
to go and vote on issues involving us and the other colonies. My husband John and I have
worked all of our lives and all we ask for is to have a representative in parliament… It is only
fair…
Of course, King George does not want actual representation because he wants complete
control over the colonies. That stuck up snob does not care about any one of us colonists… The
only reason he cares about the colonies is that they make him money.

The First Continental Congress met recently and discussed several issues. They agreed
to boycott British goods but some of the reps from the colonies still wanted to communicate and
negotiate with Britain. I believe all things would be better if we just cut off talking to the British
and completely opposed their ideas.
