Advanced Machining Processes: Hybrid electro-chemical processes, Hybrid thermal processes,


Solid, liquid and powder based material addition processes (Analytical Study), EDM, Injection
Moulding.

Advanced Theory of Elasticity (3-dimensional problems): Theories of Stress and strain,


Transformation of stress and strain, linear stress-strain–temperature relations, Applications of
energy methods, Torsion, Bending, Plates

Convective Heat Transfer and Mass transfer, CFD ,FEM, Additive manufacturing, 3D printing.

Engineering Materials: Composites- Introduction: Conventional engineering materials,


Functions of fibre & matrix, special features, drawbacks, processing, product fabrication,
applications. Super alloys- Properties, selection & engineering application of: Nickel based
super alloys, Cobalt based super alloys & Iron based super alloys. Ceramics Oxide surfaces,
ceramic forming & metal ceramic interface.

Supply Chain Management: The new paradigm, the modular company, the network relations,
and supply process procurement process, Distribution management. Reverse Engineering-
Methodologies and Techniques, Hardware and software, Rapid prototyping –Relationship with
reverse engineering

Introduction To Optimization: Development-Engineering application-statement of an


optimization problem- classification of problems-optimization techniques. Classical optimization
technique- Introduction-single variable and multivariable with no constraints and equality
constraints – Lagrange model-optimization with inequality constraints.
