Ureak for Vineyards

During disease pressure periods Ureak should be used as a foliar application to
crops, this has 2 main functions, firstly it creates better growing conditions and
this leads to a stronger healthier plant. Secondly it provides competitive
exclusion, which means that it out-competes pathogens for space, by inoculating
the leaf surfaces with beneficial microbes.

Ureak works by getting the natural processes to function, the way nature
intended. The important concept in understanding how microbes work, is that
they function in teams and rely on each other to be able to perform individually,
and therefore effectively as a combination.

These microorganisms are completely natural and all are found in the
environment.

Trials

Some small trials have already been conducted on private owner’s vines. The
results were astonishing with Powdery Mildew completely eliminated. Various
strengths of Ureak were trialed with the end result being that the mixture
strength did not make any difference to the end result.

The recommended application strength is 5% by volume.

They were previously using sulphur as a control method with the disadvantage
that residues remain in the wine. The owner remarked that the wine produced
after using Ureak had a better aroma and taste.

Further trials need to be conducted to prove the benefits to everyone from using
Ureak.
