CINEPLEX IS DEVOTED TO PUTTING WORDS INTO ACTION

HAMILTON – March 26, 2020 – Cineplex is putting their best efforts forward to

limit their waste production. Their new sustainability program, Partner for

Progress, will launch on May 1, 2020. The goal is to work with BagCraft to better

the environment. This includes better communicating sustainable responsibilities

to customers and the adoption of more environmentally friendly products.

“We want to be a leader, not only in providing quality experiences, but also in our

ability to do so in an ethical manner,” says CEO, Ellis Jacob. “It’s not enough to

just say we want to be better but find ways to really put those words into action.”

The initiative is introducing new products such as recyclable popcorn bags,

longer lasting paper drinking straws and specialty food bags and food trays for

French fries, hot dogs and nachos. The program will show benefits beyond the

Cineplex community as it will pave the way for future sustainability programs.
