Sync tool user guide

1. Download the toolbox (it is available from https://www.naviextras.com/shop/portal/downloads)

2. Install toolbox
3. Register yourself on the naviextras website
(https://www.naviextras.com/shop/portal/registration?task=register)
4. Have a micro SD card with at least 2 GB free space on it
Note: The micro SD card must be formatted to FAT32 before use
5. Download the sync tool HERE
6. Unpack the sync tool to the root of the micro SD card. It will be automatically unpacked by double
clicking the synctool.zip file. The software will be placed in the navngo folder on the SD card.

7. Turn off the device

8. Wait 30 second
9. Put the prepared micro SD card to the device.
10. Turn on the device
11. Press the “navi” button on the device
12. The following screen will welcomes you

 Prepare SD for Upgrade

Prepare the software for toolbox update, it could take up to 30 minutes!
Make sure the necessary amount of space is available on the micro SD card!
 Overwrite Nav from SD
Load back the whole updated package to the device
It could take up to 30 minutes or even more it depends on the content
 Update Navigation
 Load back only the difference between the available package and the updated package.
(no deletition therefore this could overload the internal memory)
 Back Up user Data
Backing up the user specific data to the SD card
 Restore User Data
Restore the user specific data from the SD card
 Delete User Data
Delete user specific data from the device

13. Make sure everything is ready for backup it could take up to 30 minutes and no power outage is allowed. (if
it happens accidentally go back to point 7)
14. Press Prepare SD for Update you will receive the following screen

15. As you receive the complete message remove the SD card

16. Put the SD card to the card reader
17. Start the previously installed toolbox application
18. Make the required update and/or purchasing
19. Safely remove the SD card from the system
20. Turn off the device
21. Wait 30 second
22. Put the micro SD card to the device.
23. Turn on the device
24. Select the “Overwrite Nav from SD” or the “Update Navigation” option based on your need (details in point
12)
25. Wait until the selected process is done
26. Turn off the device
27. Wait 30 second
28. Remove the SDcard
29. Turn on the device to check whether all the new or extra content is available.
