Interpretation
According to the measurements of locality it is shown that Federal Capital Territory,
Islamabad has the smallest area as it covers only 0.11% of the total area of Pakistan and
Baluchistan being the largest Province covers 43.61% of the total area as shown in figure 1. But
if we look at the census report it shows that Punjab has the largest population among all
provinces of the country with 110,012,000 people, whereas, Islamabad has the lowest population
of 200,700 persons as shown in table 2. Results of the density of provinces show that Balochistan
has the greatest area but a very small population as indicated in table 3. Looking at the annual
growth rate of all provinces in table 4, Islamabad has the highest growth rate during the
previous 19 years, whereas, Lahore has the lowest growth rate of 2.13%.
Talking about the Divisions and districts of Punjab separately, Bahawalpur has the
largest area covering 22.2% area but has a very low density of 251 persons per Sq. K.M.
Whereas, Sahiwal is the smallest division of Punjab with a lowest population of 7380, but it
has an average density. Since, Lahore has the largest population of 19,398,000 people, it has
the largest density of 1654 persons per Sq. K.M.
