Good morning!

A couple thoughts about your art curriculum and lesson plans.

1. I will begin submitting my weekly report, preliminary drawing, or project

on Monday morning with your grade level teacher’s plans. If you are
staying true to your school schedule just refer back to Monday’s e-mail
for your lesson on Wednesday or Thursday.

2. I would like to implement a Portfolio method to help you stay

organized. Find a piece of cardboard or a larger piece of paper and
fold it in half. This will be your portfolio. Decorate it if you would like.
When you return to school you will bring your portfolio. In it will
include ALL assignments except for written work. It may also include
preliminary sketches that are completed. As always you will be graded
on how you use your space, elements of design, a focal point,
patterns, and our Big, Bad, Bold method.

3. There are National and State Standards that I adhere to during the
year. Keep in mind that we are limited in our medium, (paint, Lino
blocks, batik supplies, etc.) We will all just do our best to have fun
doing creative activities! This is a great time to draw your ideas for
upcoming projects like batik.

6th grade just continue on your 2 point perspective using last week’s
videos. Place your work finished or unfinished in your portfolio and we’ll
work on them next week, too.
