FEAP 5.d.

- Critical Task

Artifact #1 - Collaborating with the Home

This artifact is a parent letter I wrote and sent home to parents/guardians
at the beginning of my level four internship. The intent of the letter was to
ensure parents were aware of my presence in the classroom as well as make
myself available to the students and parents/guardians as an additional teacher
in the classroom. Also, with the help of my CT, I made sure the letter was also
translated in Spanish as to make it accessible to a majority of the
parents/guardians of my students. This specific artifact shows my proficiency of
FEAP 5.d. as it showcases the effort I made to connect with the families of my
students to ensure they are aware of and involved in the events of the
classroom. Also, by offering means through which the families could contact
me would allow for continuous improvement as I would be able to take any
comments they may have and address them in the classroom.

Artifact #2 - Collaboration with the Larger Community

My second artifact is a picture of me at the Hillsborough County Schools

STEM fair where I served as a poster project judge. At this fair, I had the
opportunity to interact with students and educators from all over the district.
This was an exciting experience where I thoroughly enjoyed learning about
student projects and seeing how different teachers and students prepared for
the event. I feel that this shows proficiency in this FEAP as I had the opportunity
to interact with the community and did so willingly as well as with the mindset
that I might be able to learn from those outside of my school. Also, this allowed
me to practice acting professionally even when I am outside of my classroom.
