the timetable set by parents.

monitored by parents.

5. Written work to be done on loose sheets with clear mention of Student’s

Welcome to • Help the child reading the text under each picture. Focus on
school the writing tip box.
• Revise pages read in previous weeks.
Sly Fox and Red • Read pg 8, 9 of the story for your child. Child will repeat
Hen after you.

Welcome to • Write names of five friends. Begin each name with a capital
school letter.
Creative Writing • Talk to your child about the activities that the child does in
school.
• Follow the writing pattern given on pg 12. Write 2-3
sentences what you do at school.

Welcome to • Give your child the concept of ‘One & more than one’ by
school showing different objects like 1 pencil & 3 pencils etc.
Singular plural • Engage your child in finding things at home that can be
counted one or more than one. Give them ten words to

Guidelines for Lesson 1: Ways to Add - Add by Counting On

Parents
1. Show the following videos to your child to help understand the
concept of adding by counting on:

2. Go over Textbook pg 24 with your child and explain. You may

use cubes/buttons/beans/sweets to help explain the adding on
concept. Do Textbook pg 25 Practice; orally with your child.
3. Written Work: Do not ask your child to write on the workbook.
All work is to be done on loose sheets (large squares).
Children must not draw the pictures they should only write the
answer:
• Workbook pgs 15-17: let the child count on and write the
sum and answer on the loose sheet

Vocabulary add, count on, altogether (read then write the words on loose
sheets)

Discuss with your parents the general use of a keyboard and
mouse. Discuss about the devices which include a keyboard.
Hold a mobile phone and a laptop and look for the keyboard.
Then, hold the mouse device. Discuss how to place fingers
correctly. Carefully understand the use of left and right click.
Then look on the keyboard. Discuss that the keyboard is used
to type texts and numbers.
