This workshop is for anyone who is interested in learning about different

aspects of Internet of Things. The program will be taught by Professor Kazuaki
Tanaka from Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan.

This workshop will cover the following topics.

 
1. Preparing programming environment
2. IoT Programming using Ruby language
3. Sensor technology and its applications

09.30 AM to 10.00 AM ......... Preparing Environment
10.00 AM to 11.00 AM ........... Try out first program
11.00 AM to 12.00 AM ........... Input / Output Program
12.00 PM to 12.30 PM ........... Lunch
12.30 PM to 01.30 PM ........... Sound & Tone
01.30 PM to 02.30 PM .......... Temperature Sensor
02.30 PM to 02.45 PM .......... Conclusion

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Prior experience about any programming language is preferred.

2. Lunch will not be provided.
2. Participants will have to bring their own laptop computer*, on which they
will be installing the software used in the class. No laptops will be available for
rental.

* Windows or Mac with USB port. Windows 10 preferred.
