Every sad story has a happy ending

As he read the letter, his eyes were filled with tears. He was dying inside because
he never thought that he would be reading a letter from the rich family saying that
they might kill his mother because she owed some money that she could not repay. He
was only 11 years of age and he was the only child. His dad abandoned his mother
after he found out that she was pregnant with him.
His mother struggled with him because they were very poor and no jobs were
available. The city that they were living in, You were either very poor or
extremely rich. A rich family lived next to her but they were very selfish. Many
times she would kindly ask for some money to send her son to school and to supply
their needs but they told her that she would have to be their helper in order to
get the money she needed, because she would have to repay them. She agreed to work
as their maid because she did not have any choice. She loved her son dearly and she
wanted the best for him.
Unfortunately, she got very sick and she could not work to repay them. The poor
11 year old boy loved his mother dearly also. So he decided to do her job for her
in the afternoons when he came from school. However, the rich family started
complaining that he cannot get enough things done in the afternoon after school so
they would advise him to stop attending school until he can work enough to repay
the money his mom borrowed. His mother really did not want him to do that, even
though he was willing to.
One day as he rushed home from school he saw John, the father of the rich
family holding a gun to his mothers’ head. “ Momma”, he cried. “Shut up!” Yelled
John. He plead please don’t kill my mom! I’ll work and repay you. His mother cried
“ No Eric don’t do that, I’ll be okay son.” I LOVE YOU! She said. “Well then that
leaves me no choice Lucinda!” said John as he pulled the trigger, right in front of
Eric. Eric was terrified and shock about the death of his mother he ran towards her
yelling her name. The cruel man did not even want him to touch his mom. He found a
letter that his mom left on the table in the living room for him, he took it and
ran away as fast as he could being traumatized. He ended up by a bus terminal where
trains were passing to go to another city.
Suddenly, a train stopped and the driver asked what he was doing there by
himself. With tears running down his face he told him that they killed his mom. He
questioned him about going to the police and the little boy said it wouldn’t make
any sense because of the love of money, the policies are also corrupted. He
explained the whole situation and said in the city he lived, the rich family rules.
Tears ran down the drivers’ eye as he said I’ll take you home and raise you as my
own child. I have a wife who always wanted a son and a 10 year old daughter who
always wanted a brother. They would be more than happy to welcome you home, said
the bus driver. You will go to school and make your mother proud son. She will be
watching over you as he hugged him and said “Don't disappoint her.” Later in the
night after the man took Eric in as a son, he sat on the edge of the bed and open
the letter. Eric was still terrified about the situation with his mom earlier and
as he read the letter his eyes was full of tears.
