During discussions held with ED-HRO on 16.03.2020, it was advised to make a
comprehensive SOP for Offshore going personnel in view of the COVID-19.

The SOP for COVID-19 finalised is as under:


Following parameters are to be checked while suspecting COVID-2019
virus infection for Offshore going persons:-

Any patient with acute respiratory illness with:

1. A history of travel to COVID-19 affected countries in last 14 days

2. Close contact with a confirmed/suspected case of 2019-nCov in the 14 days


prior to symptom onset, or

3. Healthcare worker taking care of confirmed/suspected patients of 2019-nCov

(Acute respiratory infection means sudden onset of at least one of the following:
Cough, Sore Throat, shortness of breath requiring hospitalisation)

Before sending any suspected case to Offshore, kindly get the confirmation from
Medical Section at Helibase.

Offshore Evacuation Process


Any suspected case of COVID-19 infection should be sent to Base. Following
procedures is to be followed while evacuation.

➢ Patient should be provided mask. He should wear mask & cover his
face with proper clothing.
➢ Patient should sit at least 1 meter away from co-passenger/pilot.
➢ All Co-passengers/Pilot should use mask.
➢ Patient should not make any contact with Co-passengers.
Procedure to be followed at ONGC Juhu Helibase for
Offshore going personnel for COVID-19
In order to refrain the spread of Corona Virus, following SOP for offshore
bound personnel shall be followed. All concerned are requested to co-
operate.
1. Distribution of self Declaration screening form to all passengers from
Reporting Counter.(Copy attached)
2. Filing up of Self Declaration Form by individuals.
3. Screening of individuals at Corona Screening Counter:
A) If found OK, individual to collect Boarding Pass after submission
of Certified (Stamped) Self declaration form at ONGC Security
counter.
B) If there is any initial positive symptom/history, refer to Medical
Officer at OHC, Helibase.
C) If cleared by Medical Officer, individual to proceed for Boarding
pass collection.

4. Medical Officer will take a call after examination of the passenger and
the decision of ONGC Doctor shall be final.
