What did you learn about the movie?

It is an entertaining movie because it shows a

similar event that according to various studies happened a long time ago. From this movie
I learned the meaning of teamwork, especially when all of humanity depends of one group
of misfits who need to drill into a giant asteroid and nuke it to prevent the end of the world.

How did the film make you feel? The movie made me feel like I was experiencing this
event in real life, so I was left with the question that if this really happened to us right now,
finally what actions would we take about it?

How does the movie relate to the academic program you are studying? This film is
closely related to the academic program that I am currently studying because engineering
plays an important role since it requires trained people and technological machinery to
facilitate and contribute to the work that the group of people has to do to save the world.

Another ending for the movie could be… the solutions relies on basic electronic circuits.
The only two things you need are a resistor and a capacitor. The resistor and capacitor
could be found on board the rover they left behind. They way it works is this. Electric
current flow through the resistor, losing both current and voltage. That decreased current
takes a longer time to charge the capacitor. Once the capacitor is charged, it discharges
across the electrolytic and sends electricity into the bomb to detonate it. Meanwhile, the
entire crew hops in the spacecraft and flees the blast zone with all due haste. Then they
can watch the fireworks for a few minutes before returning home as heroes.
