WELCOME 6TH GRADE READERS!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am very pleased to welcome your child in to my 6 th Grade reading class here at

WJ Middle School. I hope that your summer has been great and that your child is
ready to return to school with eagerness to learn. Middle school is an important
time of learning in life, and I am pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to
that learning. I believe that as teachers, we should teach our students to be good
citizens as well as good learners. My goal is for my students to feel comfortable and
safe in my classroom. I want to make learning fun and interesting for them so we
will be doing a lot of group work and interactive learning.

A little about me:

I was born and raised in the great city of Fort Worth. I am a Tarleton State
University alumna. After graduating high school, I started working for the FWISD as
a substitute and teacher assistant. I loved my jobs so much that I decided to
become a teacher. When I am not at school, or at the library, I am at home with my
husband, daughter and our three dogs.

I am always interested in learning more about my students – especially things

that will help me better meet their academic needs and assist in their intellectual
development. Please feel free to contact me at any point in the school year with any
additional information about your child or for any questions you may have. I look
forward to working with you all and helping your children learn and blossom into
young adults.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Yoselin Castillo
