Preparation stage. In this stage the researcher will prepare all of the materials, tools and

equipment and laboratory apparatus needed in constructing the device. To complete this stage,

the following steps are performed:

1. List all of the materials, tools, devices, and laboratory apparatus that will be used in

the study.

2. Procurement of all the materials that is needed in the study

3. Requisition of tools, materials, and lab apparatus.

Construction stage. The device will be constructed in this stage. To complete this

stage/phase/method/process, the following steps are performed:

1. Clean and cut the bottom a plastic bottle.

2. Stuff filter paper to the bottom of the plastic bottle.

3. Add a layer of gravel, pebbles, coarse sand and fine sand with filter paper in between

every kind of sand bed.

4. Add charcoal to another container.

5. Continuously use the device for filtration for 30days.

 Data gathering stage. The data will be gathered at this stage. To complete this stage, the

following steps are performed:

1. Collect the unfiltered water.

2. Filter the unfiltered water.

3. Submit the filtered water sample at dost laboratory.
