Dear students,

We are pleased to provide you with all the information you need to access your courses
from home. As we mentioned yesterday, each teacher, course by course, will
communicate his or her continuing teaching plan to you. If they choose to offer you live
virtual classes, the Adobe Connect platform is the tool selected by the College.

How to access to online courses?

In order to shift to online courses quickly, LaSalle College has transformed each of its
physical classrooms into virtual classrooms. The logistics will be very similar to your on-
campus experience. Following your current school schedule, you’ll need to click on the
web link related to the classroom you normally have your class in.

As an example:

If in your current school schedule you have a class from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday
morning in the 6610 classroom, you’ll need to log in to the 6610 virtual classroom at 8:00
a.m. (ideally a few minutes before to make sure you are well set), by clicking on the link
and logging in as a guest. At the end of the class, all you’ll have to do is leave the virtual
classroom.

Then, if you have a class from noon to 3:00 p.m. in the 2202 classroom, you will have to
connect to the 2202 virtual classroom by selecting the corresponding link. When your class
ends, you’ll have to leave your virtual classroom again. It's really as if you were on the
campus!

A list of links to access virtual classes is attached to this Mio «Virtual Classroom Links –

Help with the Adobe Connect platform

Should you need help to use the Adobe Connect platform, please watch this tutorial:

Note: this is a generic tutorial usually used for students who are doing a complete e-
learning program. The recommendations made in the tutorial specify the ideal conditions.
Given the current situation, we can confirm that everything will work on another device
than those suggested in the video. Also, we are aware that with the closure of schools and
daycares, some of the given tips might be more difficult to put in place on your side.

If you need technical support, we've got you covered.

You will also be able to get help through a live chat tool. Look for the technical support
icon Thursday at the latest. This support will be available from Monday through Friday,
from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Follow the web page www.lasallecollege.com/news?filter=COVID-19 for all details and
updates.

The guidelines we have received from the Government of Quebec require us to keep the
Montreal and Laval campuses closed until March 27. We know that some of you don’t
have access to your equipment and/or have left your laptops at the College. We remind
you that Adobe Connect is also functional on tablet and smartphone devices.

If you have a special situation, discuss it with your student coordinator, he/she is your
point of contact.

Good continuity!
