TRIUMPHANT (chorus)

PANTHER
How many times must a panther fall
Before she learns to fly?

BABY
How long must a baby sleep
Until she lets out a cry?

WIZARD
How many spells must a wizard cast
Before he falls to the ground?

PRINCESS
How many roads must a Princess walk
To just receive her crown?

CHORUS

We are triumphant
We are triumphant
Feeling triumphant
We are enough
When times get rough
You gotta be tough
Don’t say you can’t
Cause we are triumphant

DOG WOLF
When you are promised meat, do get to eat
when you end up with the bone?

CAT
How bout when you walk all night,
But you come home your milk is old?

QUEEN
After conquering the land and sea,
Does the world call you queen?

HULA
How did practicing hoola hoop
Make me and evil fiend?

(staging perhaps spoken lines)

PRINCESS
I learned that if I put my mind to it, I can do anything, even when I think it’s impossible- AND in
a fashionable dress.

PANTHER
I learned to care about others including evil. Empathy is never a bad thing. And that I can carry
a princess.

BABY
I learned to always cry when I get picked up my stranger.
(or baby gargling)

DOG WOLF
(bark bark)
don’t make a deal with a wizard. You won’t get meat.

CAT
I learned that I can talk. It’s good to twist things up, do things differently.

QUEEN
It’s okay to hope for good things and not expect the bad. Except don’t leave the door unlocked
because then- bad things will happen.

WIZARD
I learned to not battle with heros. They’ll always win. I have to respect them for that. Hey, I
learned something- respect others!

HULA
I learned…

I’m just a hoola hooper. But being evil was awesome.

CHORUS

We are triumphant
We are triumphant
Feeling triumphant
We are enough
When times get rough
You gotta be tough
Don’t say you can’t
Cause we are triumphant
