1. What evidence do scientists have that large plates of land are moving
I know because earthquakes and tsunamis are caused by tectonic plates moving.
3. What are some ways that tectonic plates can interact with each other?
They collide with each other, forming mountains, volcanoes and valleys.
Tectonic plates can interact in one of three ways. They can move toward one
another, or converge; move away from one another, or diverge; or slide past one
another, a movement known as transform motion.
Mountains, volcanoes and valleys can be markers to where we find fault lines.
5. How does the theory of plate tectonics relate to mountains and volcanoes?
I know because mountains and volcanoes are formed by tectonic plates moving.
