EXERCISE – DATA LIFE CYCLE – Example (Case study).

DESCRIPTION

The goal of this exercise is to reinforce data life cycle concepts and processes. This exercise consists of first
identifying a particular example (case stud) in the context of the assigned sector to each team as listed below:

then, you will need to perform some analysis by identifying each of the stages of the data life cycle in your case
study and contrasting them with the ones presented in section “3. Data Life Cycle” of the document “An
Introduction to Data Management” by Alejandra Sarmiento Soler, Mara Ort, Juliane Steckel”. You are expected to
provide certain level of detail for each stage of your particular case study.
This homework must be completed by the same project teams.

Deliverable: a document with the analysis, which should include at least:

1. A detailed description of the case study

2. A comparison of each one of the stages of the data life cycle

Submission: The file in format pdf must be submitted via Moodle . Only one submission per team is
required The uploaded file must be named “DLC-“ appending the team ID.
