The Third Eye: A Spiritual Laser for Stimulating Inner Awakening”

(ISBN: 9789380223674, GenNext Publication, New Delhi, 2019).

The summary of my present (fourth) book is as follows:

The third eye is the gate that opens to the space of higher consciousness and to the inner
worlds. It is also the main organ through which the spiritual energy can be awakened and
regulated. The third eye (also known as the inner eye or the mind’s eye) provides perception
beyond the ordinary sight. The “Third Eye” is the seat of intuitive wisdom, of subtle
information and spiritual or occult power. The third eye acts as a ‘switch’, which can
stimulate the seeker to the transcendental state of consciousness. It is the spiritual laser for
stimulating our inner awakening; it is the beacon that guides us to our true destination – the
long-awaited home we have been so passionately longing for. It is the lighthouse of
consciousness, which the truth-seekers wish to rely upon.

Each one of us possesses the ‘Third Eye’, but without the grace of the spiritual God Almighty
or Master (Guru) or without the correct spiritual technique, the third eye remains
underdeveloped. Conclusively it is the Dharma (duty) of every human on this planet to
awaken or open his/her third eye during this lifespan itself in order to reap innumerable
benefits in physical, mental, emotional, psychological, spiritual and astral planes. It is not
only our Dharma; it should be our right to avail the infinite blessings from God Almighty or
by a trained spiritual Master by opening our third eye. The current book is a sincere effort to
introduce the topic of third eye to the readers along with the techniques of opening the third
eye and the benefits accrued there from.

Besides the extensive coverage on the well-known ‘Third Eye of Lord Shiva’ (in Hinduism),
this book describes the third eye, its location, the technique of its awakening in other faiths
and religions also, viz., Buddhism, Taoism, Jainism, Christianity, Kashmir Shaivism, Sufism,
Sikhism, Gnosticism, the ‘Eye of Horus’, and the Eye of Ra etc. Thus this is a truly multi-
religious and multi-faith book, which will definitely draw the attention of all the readers
across the Globe interested in this important spiritual subject. The sixteenth chapter of this
book is a food for those hungry spiritual tourists who wish to know and do a pilgrimage to
some Shiva temples and the ‘Third Eye Shrines’ located in various countries in the world.
Besides receiving spiritual vibrations at each of these temples and shrines, the tourists will be
impressed by the architectural design of these buildings. Where actually the third eye is
located? In Hinduism, it is said that the third eye is located at the position of the ‘Ajna
Chakra’ (in the middle of the eye brows). Some schools of thought, which are in majority,
claim that the third eye is located at the point of Pineal gland (the same position as that of the
Ajna Chakra). Some of these groups go to the extent that the Pineal gland itself is the third
eye. Then there are people (though in minority) who claim that the third is located in the
place where the Pituitary gland is found. Some other groups of people claim that the
Thalamus is the third eye. Then there are some mystics who claim that the third eye is not
located at either of these positions but elsewhere in the head, may be at the back of the head,
or may be in the middle of the head. This topic is covered in the seventeenth chapter of this
book. The same chapter also stepwise explains various techniques for opening one’s third
eye. It also indicates the symptoms whether one’s third eye has opened or beginning to open
or not. The last chapter of this book lists many benefits accrued to those seekers whose third
eye is either fully opened or in the process of awakening. All these aspects are
comprehensively covered in the eighteen chapters, supported by 85 figures in this book.
Approximately 35 number of original Sanskrit mantras (hymns), written in Devanagri as well
as Roman scripts along with their meanings (in English) have been included in this book in
order to give authenticity and scholasticism to this book. A sincere effort has been made to
ensure that this book appeals equally well to the scholars, the seekers and the common people
having a simple knowledge of English language and believing in the vast spiritual treasure
hidden in their ancient scriptures.
