Doctor : could he Movement when you entered the room?
Neighbour : just about. He said he was Trying to make a phone call to his daughter she lives in
ashford and as he stretched out to hury the phone up off the rest he got this terrible shooting
pain up his arm and across his chest.
Doctor Yes then what ?

ambulance for him if they arrive before I do, just tell them I’m on my way. Dr Blasco all right? .
Neighbour : All right, just speak up!
Doctor : I’ii Be there as quick as I can.

Doctor : Mrs Smith – get an ambulance round to Mr Lindley’s house as soon as you can. You’ve

Doctor : Tell them it’s an emergency – it sounds as if might have had a stroke. I can’t tell how
serious it is - could be majar. But he is still alive and the neighbhour’s staying with him. I’m
going round there myself,now.
SUGERY RESEPTIONIST : But you’ve got three patients still to see,here waiting for you .
Doctor : I know. Ask them to wait. They’II understand. I shan’t be llong. I’m just going to see
him off in the ambulance they’ii take him straight to the hospital and into intensive care. But I
want to see him off- so ask them to wait.
SUGERY RESEPTIONIST : All right,doctor. I’ii phone for the ambulance now and I’ii talk to
the patients still waiting.
Doctor : Thank you. I’ii be back as soon as I can
