Who is NACE?

NACE International is the world's largest society dedicated to providing industry with corrosion control technology
information. For more than 5 0 years, NACE has supported its members as well as nonmembers by leading the field in
education, training and certification programs, conferences, symposia and expositions, and increasing corrosion
technology awareness through books, magazines, journals, standards, and software.

More than 1 5,000 engineers, scientists, technicians, managers, and sales representatives rely on NACE. They know

What does NACE do?

NACE International's mission is to promote education on issues dealing with corrosion control and materials degradation;
promote engineering and research endeavors to combat corrosion; and promote awareness of the consequences of
corrosion and the benefits to be derived from corrosion control to preserve the infrastructure, conserve natural resources,
and protect the environment.

This mission is achieved by publishing industry standards, papers, and reports, providing training and educational courses,
creating public awareness through publication of industry journals, participation in industry trade shows, and promoting
involvement on technical committees.

What are Technical Committees?

NACE International is a technical society dedicated to promoting technology on corrosion prevention and control for all
materials. Many of NACE'S 15,000 members participate in the activities of approximately 330 NACE technical
committees. The committees serve as the technical arm of the Association and include professionals from various
disciplines concerned with corrosion prevention and control. Committee members develop NACE standards, reports, and
publications, and conduct informative meetings, symposia, and open forums as ways t o exchange state-of-the-art
technology. The committees address many corrosion-relatedtopics in the areas of pipelines and tanks, refining, concrete
and rebar, plastics, coatings and linings, chemical industry, water industry, transportation industry , and the military and
aerospace.
