COASTAL CLEAN-UP AT QUEEN TUNA PARK

Last February 21, 2020 we have gone to Queen Tuna Park for a coastal clean-up together with
the Friday NSTP class of Mr. John John Imba. It was an impromptu clean up for us yet we are
game for the said event. We walk all through out from the campus to Queen Tuna Park with our
set of friends, even though its sunny we continued walking till we get there.

At the said place, we brought our own sack, some had brought garbage bags to put up all
picked up trashes along the shore. We encountered the part where there are human poops,
mixed with decomposing garbages leaving a stinky odors all through out that part.

To clean up all our surroundings is a huge help for the environment. Ive learned that massive
garbages started with a single trash but real changes started with a single change too. it comes
from within, it started within your self. We should make cleaning a habit and a lifestyle,
because at the end of the day, we, humans are the ones who will take all the benefit and it will
be a great heir for the future generations.

MANGROVE PLANTING AT PUROK MINANGA, BRGY. BUAYAN

It was February 28, 2020 when I first tried mangrove planting at Brgy. Buayan, like the first
coastal clean up, we were not informed for the said event yet we are grateful for the
opportunity to do it in a lifetime. It was quite far from school so transacted multicab drivers to
take us there and wait till we are finished planting.

The experience was cool, by also looking forward for the possible grown up mangrove we've
planted. Mangrove were used to protect our coastal areas from high tides, as well the
residential areas near the sea. We need more of it not only locally, but also for the whole
nation. And a step starts with planting a single seed, care for it and expect for something good
in return from the environment. Humans as we are, we needed care from the people who
surrounds us other than from ourselves. The same scenarios needed by the plants and trees
that surrounds us, it needs the care they deserve in exchange for the benefits they give us to
live.

Mangrove planting was fun especially doing it with your friends and possibly some time with
your family, relatives and more friends. As you strenghten your bond while having fun, you also
contribute something for the environment. Sharing your love to nature is caring for the future.
Learning something unexpectedly are the best ones to apply in your life.
