project incorporates ethnographical study about the working space products
and their issues.

TOPIC AREA
As per history pushpins were first invented by Sir Moore in 1900”s. Who then
later on founded the Moore push pin company , this way he really brought a
massive change in the world of pins , who then got his first big orders from
Kodak film company of $ 1000 in 1900. The major focus of this entire project will be running across two points:-
Documenting and complete study of usage of soft boards in corporate offices and
educational institutions and user experience of pin-upping the soft board /
presentation board.
PUSH - PIN
• The Focus will be on refining the design for user-experienced product - Push
Pin .
After 1900’s Till today , push pins have got much more recognition than any

But ,due to inconvienency and time taking causes, users have moved to some
other alternative uses of magnetic pins and use of stapler to present their
work , As we know for every product in this world , there is one alternative or
substitute, but coming back to how much they affect the lives of people
matters at last. This makes an important impact of changing lives of people.
SIGNIFICANCE MAJOR AIMS :-

• Accuracy in pin-upping the user’s work.

Push pins are an important product used in somewhere in our day to day life ,
• Avoiding wastage and loss of push-pin during pin-using.

and its inconviency.
We have found a huge reason of keeping alive the push pin product rather than • Reducing the time to pin-upping the work.
using its alternatives as it is cheaper and already widely accepted across the
world. Based on the our market research ,we have found that there are many
varieties of push pins in the market, but they all serve fancyness , lacking the
aesthetic and ergonomic sense. APPROACH :-
Under design sustainability this new refinement of designed product aims for
affordability and user-friendliness.
A primary approach will be working on design
conceptualisation and along with keeping an eye on the user’s

a huge role in the offices and institutions.

Here, our primary aim is to refine the push pin’s design embedded with a aesthetic

work.

• It was clearly identified that material innovations in push-pins like use of colourful

unnoticed problem.
• A study of expense done on push pins by per user shows that in offices its
rupees (150-200 ) and in educational institutions rupees 250-300 per user.

• Making product compact and ergonomically perfect is necessary for user

acceptance. This is because, if above functions doesn’t work users will keep on
using pins as they use to before.
