ISSN REFLECTION

The purpose of this project exponential functions apply to Covid-19 pandemic the goal of

this project is to research and learn as much as you can about the Covid-19 pandemic and how

math relates to its world-wide spread. When I got this project it was a little confusing because I

was still wondering if I was going to work with a partner or by myself. When I was reading the

instruction I felt that it was really easy to do but one major problem was that there were a lot of

countries to choose. One goal that I had was to finish the project on time and be able to find the

country that has been affected due to the Covid-19.

For this project I had chosen to do Italy because it has affected millions of people and had

left people really sick and even caused their deaths. The reason why I had chosen this country is

because in social media I have seen that grocery stores had no type of food and people would be

worried about going outside to get food. After I had chosen the country I was a bit confused on

the equation it was required to find the amount of people being affected in Italy.

What did you learn about this project was that you can relate to math and the equation

was kind of difficult to find. I also learned that people are getting affected due to this virus and

how each day are increasing and the amount of deaths. Something that I have learned from

myself was that the equation was fairly easy to find and I was able to work with my partner well.

An area to improve is to fix the powerpoint on slide 9 and the equation. There were parts that we

needed to improve to get a better grade. I am proud that I had finished the project on time and

worked with my partner and was able to find the country where we both agreed to do our

research.

I investigated the world by research about Italy and the amount of people who are being

affected by Covid-19. As the days are passing the amount of people are causing death and people

are getting sick. I communicated the ideas by talking to my partner and agreeing on what the

issues in Italy and how we can help.
