Our 10 Step Protocol of Protection
As with any financial investment, security is a fundamental concern
and factor to consider. At Bitstocks, security is paramount, and at the
forefront of everything we do as a business. In order to ensure we can
assure you peace of mind that your data, funds and bitcoins are fully
protected, at all times, we employ a 10 step security protocol.

1. Multi-Signature
Every transaction that involves client bitcoins is protected by
‘Multi-Signature’ in two distinct physical locations. Even in the
unlikely event of a physical security breach, only one security key
is accessible, which ensures bitcoins can’t be touched.

2. Deep Cold Storage

We provide Deep Cold Storage for all client bitcoins. Bitcoins are
physically held and secured in safety deposit boxes by leading
financial institutions in the City of London, and access requires
multiple director signatories.

3. Secure Offline Terminals

All movements of client bitcoins are signed on secure offline
terminals, which are unable to connect to the internet at every
level. This safeguards our security as we are not vulnerable to
cyber attacks.

 4. Encrypted and Password Protected
At every step of the process, client data is fully encrypted and
password protected.

5. Extended Valisation SSL Certificate

Our platform uses an Extended Validation SSL certificate, which
ensures client data is secure with every interaction.

6. Two Factor Authentication

Access to client bitcoins via our online platform is protected
by ‘2-factor authentication’. This guarantees bitcoins can’t be
touched, even if their password is compromised. Furthermore,
Bitstocks employs an independent identity validation service that
confirms their details are correct and prevents spoofing.

7. Firewalls
We use firewalls to prevent unauthorised access to any part of our
platform (both from internal and external threats), which allows
only the Market Advisory Broker or a Senior Executive access to a
client account.

bitcoins, unless we’re opening or closing
a position as instructed by the client

8. Proof of Solvency
We conduct automated daily ‘proof of solvency’ audits, verified
by our internal compliance officer. Any client may request proof of
holdings at any time. This involves a mock transaction processed
with their funds from their wallet, back to their wallet. While it
can take up to 24 hours, it provides definitive proof of volume and
accessibility.

9. Transparency
We never use client funds, be it fiat or bitcoins, unless we’re
opening or closing a position as instructed by the client. We
provide a simple tool to monitor funds and they can use the global
decentralised blockchain to see where their coins are at any point
in time.

10. External Security Audits

We conduct monthly external security audits, for confirmation
that our systems and processes are at the forefront of digital
security and information protection.
