Permeability prediction of isolated channel sands using machine

Learning

A) Permeability prediction has long been one of the most important and difficult tasks of
reservoir characterization, especially for tight sands with strong heterogeneity.
B) . Precise key parameter values from MLP and SVR are selected for permeability
prediction.
. Non-linear MLP and SVR outperform SLR and linear MLR.
C) Issues and novelty revealed in the results section
D) The journal is closely related to the topic of the lecture, namely determining
permeability.

Prediction of permeability and porosity from well log data using the nonparametric regression with
multivariate analysis and neural network, Hassi R’Mel Field, Algeria

a) This study will focus on the evaluation of formation permeability for a sandstone
reservoir in the reservoir formations of Hassi R’Mel Field Southern from well log
data using the multivariate methods. In order to improve the permeability
estimation in these reservoirs, several statistical regression techniques have
already been tested in previous work to correlate permeability with different
well logs. It has been shown that statistical regression for data correlation is
quite promising.

B) . Evaluate reservoir formation from well log data using multivariate

methods.
. PCA, CA-based models and DA are used to characterize and identify the
types of electrofation.

• The results of three non-parametric approaches: ACE, GAM and NNET.

C) The results showed that permeability prediction was improved by applying variable selection to
non-parametric regression ACE while tree regression could not predict permeability.

Residue retention and minimum tillage improve physical environment of the

soil in croplands: A global meta-analysis

a) This study examines the effects of conservation tillage practices on soil physical properties,
including soil bulk density, aggregate size and stability, hydraulic properties, and soil pH.
b) .The response of soil physical properties varies according to the duration of the experiment
. Conservation tillage has a higher aggregate size, stability and available water capacity.
. A global meta-analysis of the physical properties of soils in conservation tillage.

C) Overall, conservation tillage practices positively affect many physical properties of soils; and
the extent of the effect varies with the duration of the experiment.
