manage their workforce. For managing these functions the manager of Whirlpool must have a good
arrangment of skills and behaviour along with enough knowledge to deal with various kind of
situations. E.g. he has to resolve conflics among employees, identification the factors affecting the
performance of workforce and formulation of strategies to minimize or eliminate negative factors. A
set of skills, knowledge and behaviour is given below which must be required by the HR manager of
Whirlpool.

HR Skills:

1: Communication:

As the HR manager has to deal a variety of people in day-in and day-out so effective communication
is essential for HR manager of Whirlpool. He has to deal with higher managment as well as his
parallel managers too. He also has to deal with his subordinates so his oral and verbal skills must be
excellent.

2: Conflict Managment:

As people come frome variety of cultures and places which can cause the difference in opinions
which often leads towards conflict so the HR manager has to play a role of mediator too.

3: Personal Managment:

Through media the company interact with the targeted audience so HR manager of WhirlPool must
have enough knowledge of modern media. He also must upgrade and maintain his knowledge
related to advanced techonolgies to improve the eefectiveness of the operations. He must be well
aware of the softwares used by the comapny.

2. Laws and Regulations:

The HR manager must be well aware of the Rules and regulations where the company is legally
operating and make it sure that its operation meets the laws and avoid every kind of law voilation.

Decisive thinking: HR manager of whirlpool must comply with decisive thinking. He must be able to
evaluate the data and take decisions to enhance the performance of workforce.

HR manager has to be collaborative as he has to work with alot of people in and out. So if he will
coordinate the employees and other people then he can increase the effectiveness of workforcem

Personal Skill Audit:

It referes to identify the abilities and skills of any individual or organization. It helps to determine tge
stregnths and weaknesses along with tge measures which can help to improve weak areas and
eliminate its relevant threats. According to the requirement my personal audit plan is given below
which identifies my strengths to be a good HR professional and weakness which must be overcome.
