Why Don’t Monkeys Talk Like Us?

There is little doubt that these non- human animals are very intelligent like Koko the gorilla.
Koko uses sign- language to communicate with people, even though Koko is the strong and
silent type. But when speaking our language, she is completely quiet.
New research shows that even being on the bottom of the food chain, Monkeys have the
vocal ability to produce human words. The theory does state though that, monkeys, gorillas, and
chimps do not talk because they are not capable of creating the sounds to make words.
In conclusion, monkeys and apes do not talk for anatomical limitations referring to their vocal
tracks.
