What Do You understand by Theory of Voluntary Mediation and

Participatory Ethics ? Explain the trade off between Moral

Demands and Busmess Interest.

Voluntary Mediation
Situation of conflicts when two or more parties come together voluntarily to resolve the
dispute and achieve their goals by taking help of a third eligible party (known as
mediator) then this process is known as voluntary mediation.voluntary
participation of businesses for a shared interest by co-operation of parties to produce
good business for public welfare

Participatory Ethics
Participatory ethics is a privileged part of business ethics.within the category of other
including actions, guided by common interest, we find another type of action (not by
simultaneous are connected interest) but by shared interest. Parties corporate in
order produce a more distant common good that has three characteristic features.

 The good can only be realised through the participation of all parties.
 Participation cannot be enforced (no explicit moral obligation to take part
in the project).
 do participation maybe profitable by participating parties as well as the
community at large, none of the parties have to participate in order to
survive (every possible participant can obtained without pressing a lasting
damage for himself).
 Principle of decency (a specimen of moral aesthetics) where a real
opportunity to contribute to the general welfare presents itself and no
insurmountable obstacles arise comma one should have solid moral reasons
not to go for it.
 Principle of emancipation (specific group deserve the space and means
for development that history has unwarrantedly denied them up to
now).special attention is given to the least powerful in order to defend
those, who, by themselves comma are defenseless. on the basis of principle
of decency, corporations voluntarily contribute to a city development
project that AIMS at an optimal distribution of space (devoted to different
kinds of housing, to officers, to traffic, cultural and shopping facilities, and
to open spaces) preferred for the benefit of all.
 participatory ethics is about the shape of solidarity in an age
of individualisation. it is the ethics of the civil society, recently rediscovered
as a solid ground for collective arrangements where both the marked and
the state fail. By participating on a regular basis, in common projects on
behalf of general welfare, a corporation demonstrates that it can take
seriously its corporate citizenship.
