Dear Home City Tours,

I am writing to apply for the job of home city tour guide. My name is Cesar Fruto
and I am 25 years old. I am a professional in hotel and tourism administration.
I currently live in the city of Barranquilla, I have lived in this city all my life and
besides knowing it I like to show others how beautiful it is, from its historical
center, to its most modern spaces, knowing the history of Barranquilla is complex
to explain, but it is easy for me to show how we became independent and came
to make a consolidated city. A happy city, full of colors and that is always open to
its visitors, for lake they tell us "The golden door of Colombia".
I am a happy, safe, friendly person and it is not difficult for me to make friends,
thanks to my work I speak with people from other countries in the language of
English, it is always good to have friends from other countries and they always
promise to come back just to visit me and tell them more about my city.
People who ask me to give them a tour of the city, tell me to take them to iconic
places, monuments and heritage sites in the city and I choose places like the
museum of the Caribbean, the library of the Aduana, the historical center of the
city, the church of San Roque, a walk along the Paseo Bolivar, the metropolitan
stadium, the cathedral, the Plaza de la Paz, Amira de la Rosa theater; the most
iconic neighborhood, full of history as the neighborhood "El Prado" and the
newest as the avenue of the river and the window to the world.
Also the city has some monuments some characters that have left the name of
Barranquilla as the statue of Joe, Shakira, Esthercita Forero, Simon Bolivar and
one as iconic at the level of the city as the dummy of the 74, we say the coastal
that releases more clothes than a child in December, but well, it is a
representation of how happy we are this city.
If you want to meet one of the best carnivals in the world, full of joy and history, I
invite you to come in February to enjoy these festivities so important in our
Caribbean culture and always remember to call me to take you to the best places
to enjoy our city.
I consider myself the ideal person for this position, because there is nobody better
who represents your city and makes it known as a happy Barranquillero, willing
to leave an image as a memory to which you can always return and learn more
about what you already knew from the hand of a young entrepreneur.
