Submmitted to: Prof. Pinky Baloloy

HOSPICE
- designed to give supportive care to people in the final phase of a terminal illness and focus on
comfort and quality of life, rather than cure.

It aims to provide comprehensive medical care and support for patients and families at the end of
life, rendering support to the patient, their families, and caregivers with the overwhelming
physical and psychological stresses of a terminal illness.

PALLIATIVE
-End of life care includes palliative care. If you have an illness that can't be cured, palliative care
makes you as comfortable as possible, by managing your pain and other distressing symptoms. It
also involves psychological, social and spiritual support for you and your family.

Is to prevent, identify and treat — as early as possible — the symptoms and side effects of the
disease.

SPRITUALITY
-In general, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically
involves a search for meaning in life. As such, it is a universal human experience—something
that touches us all.

Many spiritual traditions encourage participation in a community. Spiritual fellowship, such as

attending church or a meditation group, can be sources of social support which may provide a
sense of belonging, security, and community.
