This made is typically used when electrical power is lacking Powered emergency procedure The powered emergency procedure allowsthe user toattempt to reset thellif’s operation withthe aid of the contrl circuit board and is enabled automatically when come types of alarm occur. For information about the types ofalarm with which powered emergencymodeisenabled, refer to the table provided in the Alarms and indcalors section To execute the powered emergency procedure, proceed as follows: |L- Make sure that all persons are clear of the area around the lift to a safe distance. Operate the Up/Down selector switch and hold itin operating position: the buzzer will sound intermittently to signal a pre-alarm for about one second, and then the lift will start to move Up or Down, This operation isonly permitted a maximum oftwice: ifthe carriages have nat reached the {ully lowered position (both limit switches operated) by the end of the second attempt, the lif locks out definitively and the only way of bringing the carriages back tothe ground and exiting the alarm status is by using the manual emergency procedure, ERCO 3222 EL - ERCO 4022 EL operators manual 35 hhtpsisimanualze.comidoct4454082/erco-$222-e1--ereo-4022-e-operator-s-manal 1193 1472020 manual viewer Note that in powered emergency mode the operator can raise or lower the liftor perform ‘combinations of the two for up to a maximum of two overall operations However, the lift can only exitan alarm status during a descent, provided the conditions are met (both limit switches activated) Manual emergency operation To lower the lft n the event of a power failure, proceed as follows: 1. Switch off the electricity supply using the switch on the mains control panel 2. Remove the guards from the pulleys on the tops ofthe pillars; 3. Use two spannersto turn the locking nuts of the two lifting screws simultaneously. The ‘crows must be turned in synchrony to prevent cariage misalignment. 4. Continue to turn the screws by small amounts in synchrony uatil the carfiages are completely lowered (both limit switches must be activated), 5. When the powersupply stestored, tum the powersupply tothe lft back onand lower theliftto reset the internal position counters (naturally, since the carriagesare already ‘on the ground, they will not move), STORAGE Ifthe machine is to be out of use fora lone period of time, it must be disconnected from the electricity supply and any parts which might be damaged by dust must be protected.
