Dear ,

My name is Dr. Kristin Towle, and I am the formation faculty for

the MAPM and MARE programs at The Saint Paul Seminary School
of Divinity. I am responsible for helping the graduate students in
their development in the four pillars of formation: personal,
intellectual, ministerial, and spiritual.

Thank you so much for agreeing to be ’s onsite mentor

for his/her MAPM/MARE final project. Dr. Deborah Savage, the
program director, and I are so grateful that you will help guide
with your practical wisdom and encouragement during the
implementation of this project.

Dr. Savage and I ask each onsite mentor to help the graduate
student in the following ways:

1. Meet with the student 6 times over the course of the project to
discuss how the project is going, offer guidance, and give
feedback on the student’s theological reflection papers.
2. Help the student to understand the needs of the project
participants and how to serve them through the project.
3. Offer advice to the student when difficulties with the project
arise.
4. At the end of the project, give an assessment of how the
student has implemented the project, used his/her skills in the
project, etc.
5. Participate in the grading panel during the student’s final
presentation of the project.

Again, thank you for being wiling to help in this important

way.

Please, if you have any questions, email me, or call me at 651-

283-0207. Additionally, you can email Dr. Savage at
pdsavage@stthomas.edu, or call her at 651-962-5061.

In Christ,
