Lesson plan 11/12/2019

Objectives of the class: Students will be talk about their family. They will use the
vocabulary learned yesterday. They will also learn to use the verbs have, live and work.

1)Warm up- (10 min) to have the students settling in and vamping

2) Review: Vocabulary words about family relationships (Power point slide with web words)
(5min)
→ Activity: “Write the name of four people in your family” Share it with your neighbor
➔ Draw a tree

3) Overview- Talk about your family. What do they do? Where do they live? (5min)
→ Use your paper as a guide to talk to your neighbor about the people you wrote about.

4) Presentation/ Practice- Grammar page 30: verbs: have, live and work (10- 15 min)
→ Present the rule for the verb have, then have them practice using it in a sentence with a partner
➔ Do the same with the other verbs
➔ Show power point slides one by one

5) Perform- (10min)
→ Guess who game? Have students write another students name and put it in a container
➔ Make students generate questions to prepare for next lesson.
➔ See errors and make corrections as needed
6) Evaluation/ Summary (5-10min)
Write on the board some questions and rules that students came up with during the “guess who”
game. Summarize and review what has been taught at the beginning of class.

6) Practice “Jingle Bells” song for graduation day (5min)

Contingency plan: Have students memorize the chorus of Jingle bells by rearranging the
sentences in order.
